Snakes

Prying on each other like snakes,
Fighting for each other for whatever it takes.
For you I could swim through a thousand lakes,
Caught up like dead leafs on rakes.

The way you scream my name,
Knowing this is more than just a game.
Bad boys like you are what I tame,
Nothing to shame and no one to blame.

Tomorrow we might not wake up the same,
Your heart is what I aim.
You burn me up with your wicked flame,
I'm yours to claim.

It's dangerous,
But we're feeling adventurous.
Don't fall in love with me,
Never get down on your knee.

I'm not your saviour,
I don't need you in good behaviour.
I just want something to ease the pain,
Something to break me from this chain.

I think you understand me well,
I don't need to be in your thoughts to dwell.
Just like you I can raise h*ll,
Don't let me affect you like a spell.

We come from the same blood,
That's why I need you to wipe my eyes from the flood.
I'm broken so are you,
We don't want anyone new.

Take me into your bed,
I'll give you the familiar poison until you're fed.
I'm not trying to get you wed,
Don't think you're the one I'll mislead.

I wake up tomorrow and I know I'll go.
We don't have to fight and I don't have to say no.
If you ever need me let me know,
We can put on a really good show.

So perfectly bad together,
The good ones will never understand.
You and I create bigger storms than weather,
By your side is where I stand.
