She Stares At You

She stares at you emptily,
Like a shell of the girl she used to be.
She used to move so elegantly,
In a way that said: "Notice me."

"What changed?" You ask.
But telling you that wouldn't be a simple task.
It requires a lot of effort and tears.
But does it matter, after a few years?

The world we live in is cruel,
And trusting everyone would make you a fool.
Will you be willing to destroy the life of a goddess?
Notice your actions' effects and please say less.
~The most oppressed group in human society is women.
