Hero
Josephine meets me in the cafeteria at lunch, her styrofoam tray was filled with the basic foods from the school. Main meal, fruit, vegetables, drink, and a small bag of chips.
She slides onto the bench at my side, her blonde hair looked greasy under the fluorescent lights, but I didn't care. She looked perfect any time of the day.
Caleb Bowen, my close friend, sits down across from me, his hair was a mess, and his eyes were perky, "Bro, you coming to the game later?"
I nod, "Cal, I'm playing the game later, why wouldn't I show up?"
He shrugs, then looks to Jo.
"You all good tiger, you don't look so hot?" He ask. Her eyes meet his, and without saying a word, she nods. I shoot him a dirty glare for asking. I wish he wasn't so nosy. I mean, we're close friends and all, but he's so goddamn up in my business, it's kind of annoying.
"Are you and... what's her name? Jenifer? Together?" I ask, changing the topic away from my girl.
"Uh, no, she broke up with me a few days ago."
"Why?" I add
He pauses, unsure of what to say, then turns back to me. I could see right though his lies, so if he lied, I would know immediately.
"She realized I'm not the perfect boyfriend." He replies, then stands up. Throwing what's left of his food. I watch as he walks away without saying anything else. There was something he wasn't telling me.
"He seemed weird, " Josephine states, putting a spoonful of apple sauce into her mouth, "Weirder then normal at least."
I chuckle, then bite into the apple I've been holding in my hands for the past five minutes, a large, sweet chunk coming off the core, then falling onto my tongue. I finish eating the dark red apple before speaking again.
"Josephine, how about we leave early? We have two days left and nothing is going to happen." I ask, throwing away the rest of the apple.
Josephine stands up and I take her hand in mine. She smiles as I pull her up.
"Do we have to?" She pleads. I shake my head.
"No, of course not, but I wanted to take you somewhere." I reply as we walk down the hallway toward my locker.
"Where?" She eyes me suspiciously as I turn the comb to my locker, pulling open the metal green door.
"How about the beach, or my house for the pool?" I add with a smug smile, wanting to hold her tightly in my arms.
"Fine, let me grab my stuff." She sighs playfully, then walks away, going to her locker. I put my math binder into my backpack and sling it over my shoulder, heading toward the office doors.
"Hero, where are you going?" Mom ask, walking out of her office and into the main room.
"Josephine and I have nothing else to do, just give us an excused absence please." I beg, I knew she wouldn't say yes, but it would be worth a shot.
"Have you finished your testing?" She ask, leaning against the counter and pulling out a pen.
"Yes, Mom, can we please go?" I reply, Josephine entering the office behind me. She hooks her arm around my waist and I sling my arm over her shoulder.
"Fine, but be home in time for dinner." She finishes by signing the slips, then putting them in the tray.
"Thank you, Mom." I tell her, then grab Josephine's hand, yanking her out of the building and to the student parking lot. We go over to my car and throw our bags into the back seat.
"We have to make a stop first, I'm still hungry." I tell her. She nods and takes my hand as I turn on the car and pull out of the parking lot.
As I drive down the busy afternoon highway, the music blares a song from Ariana Grande's most recent album.
Josephine sings along with the lyrics, I smile and every few seconds look over to my girl. It sounds so weird to think that I have her all to myself. She won't make anyone else's feel the way I feel about her. Not unless we break up.
But that didn't worry me, I had an inkling that she wasn't going to break up with me. We had spent so much time building a stability, she wouldn't just drop our relationship that easily?
I pull into an abandoned Winn-Dixie parking lot and put the car into park.
"Hero, what are we doing here?" She ask. My glare becomes strong, I stare into her eyes with a smug smirk and a cocky glare.
She picks up on what I'm hinting towards, "Here? Now?"
I nod and in unison, we unbuckle our seat-belts. I lock the doors, then lean my seat back. She climbs over the arm rest and mounts herself on my lap. The music is still blaring as she comes down and kisses my lips with such a strong passion.
"My turn." She whisper, then unzips my shorts, pushing them down and pressing her hands against the stretchy material of my boxers. I groan in her ear as she begins to kiss my cheek, her other hand bringing my head closer to hers. She starts at my neck, kissing the skin gently, careful not to leave any hickeys, then slowly works her way down my body to the hem of my tank-top.
"Just go around it." I whisper and without a reply, she nods, then moves to my muscular biceps.
Slowly, she pulls my shirt off and throws it to the side, her hand slips past the material of my boxers. I growl in delight as she continues on with her pleasurable actions.

After going home to change and get proper clothes on, I decide that we're going to the fair. It was large, bigger than any fair I had been to before, but the atmosphere made it feel small. All the screaming and crying children, or the yelling parents, The laughs of family's on the tilt-a-whirl, or the giant circus tent that housed an array of weird and tacky tourist traps.
I follow Josephine through the crowd, letting her pull me over to the Scrambler. We wait in line patiently, unlike some other, then let the man at the tollbooth scan our wrist bands. I didn't buy the unlimited attractions wrist band for nothing.
She climbs into the cart first, I follow close behind her. The ride operator comes by and pushes the car shut, then checks out belt.
A few seconds pass, the operator checking everything, before they return to the booth and start the ride.
The spinning starts off slow. Our cart spinning like a top seconds before falling, but then the speed begins to increase. Josephine laughs loudly as we're whipped around, my body sliding against her as we're yanked inward. I laugh loudly as she bumps into me, her hands bracing herself from sliding further into my. She was everything to me. She was my perfect girl.
