"Alright, let's go" I said to Becca, who stood outside the classroom as I came back.

"I hope it's okay that I bring my painting, I really don't want to leave it behind" she said and grabbed onto the big canvas.

"Of cause" I said and smiled at her. "It's a beautiful painting by the way" I said opening the glass door for her, and I'm pretty sure I caught her blushing a bit.

"So where should we go?" I asked as we both had buckled up in my car and sat there looking out the window.

"I know a great pizza place not far from here. It's small but their food is very tasty" Becca said.

"Great, let's go there" I smiled as I started the car.

Becca guided me the way and not long after, we were outside a small restaurant, down at the docks. The place looked very cozy.

We went in and sat down at a table by the window. Five seconds later a waiter came over to us and asked what we wanted to get. I didn't even have to look at the menu, I knew what I wanted.

"Pepperoni pizza" I said and heard that Becca said it at the same time as me.

We looked at each other and laughed.

"Want to share it?" I asked and Becca nodded. We gave the order to the waiter and with that he was gone.

"Can I ask you something?" I said after we had sat in silence for a while.

"You just did" Becca answered with a smirk.

I smiled at her and she gestured with her hands for me to speak.

"Why did you disappear today? I thought we were eating lunch together but you just... disappeared. I looked for you, but I couldn't find you" I said with a shaky voice. I was kind of scared of her answer. Would she get offended that I asked her this?

She opened her mouth to speak but her eyes were focusing on the table.

"Well, I saw you were eating with those guys, so I thought the deal was off"

"Why would you think that? Why didn't you just come sit with us?" I asked and leaned my elbows on the small table.

"Are you kidding?" she said with a laugh. "Those guys hate me. They would never want to be even near me. Plus, they're the ones spreading all those rumors about me, I'm not going to sit with them" She said and crossed her arms, not meeting my eyes.

I was kind of shocked, but It did confirm my suspicion of her knowing about the rumors.

"You know about the rumors?" was the only thing I could say.

"Of course, I do. The whole sleeping with everyone at my old school thing, putting a teacher to jail. I even heard something about me worshipping Satan?" Becca said.

"Can I ask yousomething?" she said and leaned towards me, so we were even closer.

I simply nodded.

"Do you believe them? The rumors" she asked to my surprise and again I was speechless.

"Uhm, I don't think so. I mean that girl Sophie said you guys were friends and that you told her about it" I said and looked her in the eyes.

"Oh yeah, her. We were friends, but then she became a cheerleader and then she got popular and now she's a bitch" Becca said and looked out the window.

"Well are they true?" I asked.

"One of them" Becca answered and looked me dead in the eyes.

"Which one?" I asked, my heart beating faster.

"Well I'm not a Satan worshipper and I didn't sleep with my entire school" she said.

"So, you slept with a teacher" I asked, not knowing if it was a question or a realization.

"Yep" Becca said and leaned back in her chair.

So many questions filled my brain and I felt my stomach drop. I had hoped the rumors wasn't true, I was almost convinced they weren't.

"How do you feel about that?" Becca asked after a long time of silence.

"Uh, I must say I'm surprised" I admitted and fumbled with my hands.

"Why?" she asked. Her questions were making me very uncomfortable.

"I just didn't think you were the type who would do that" I answered her honestly.

"Good. 'Cause I'm not" she said and I was even more confused.

"What?"

"I didn't sleep with my teacher, I just wanted to see how you would react" she said and leaned towards me again with a smirk.

A big wave of relief washed over me and I couldn't help but let out a laugh.

"I got to say I'm relieved" I said and smiled. Silence fell upon us again and my hands started playing with the tiny salt shaker on the table. I could feel Becca's eyes on me.

"Can I ask you something?" she said.

"You just did" I said and with a cocky smirk. She smiled while sending me evil eyes jokingly.

"It's just, why did you transfer from your old school when you only have one year left? Wasn't it easier to just stay? Especially since you've never been to a public high school before" Becca asked. Again, she had no problem with asking question that kind startled me.

"Well, the short version is that I was sick of it. I was sick of the posh people, the stiff teachers and how boring and perfect it all were. Everyone is so snobby there. I didn't fit in and I didn't want to end up like them. Plus, I've been wanting to go to a new school for a while and I figured why not go to a public high school and maybe get a chance to feel... normal" I said and sighed.

Becca nodded with an understanding look. "That takes a lot of courage, but I'm glad you did it" she said and smiled at me. I smiled back.

"Did you really look for me today?" she asked a couple of minutes after.

"I did" I said and looked her in the eyes. She smiled and looked away.

Not long after, our pizza came, and we immediately began eating. I looked over at her as we were eating. I had so many questions about this girl, so many things I wanted to know. I just didn't know where to start, or if she was ever going to tell me.
