We walked inside the cafeteria, with my arm still around Becca, and discovered it was almost full to the brim. I noticed a lot of different people looking and whispering stuff to their friends, as they saw me and Becca get in line together. I tried not to let it bother me, but I couldn't ignore the fact that every time someone stared, it stung a little. Not because of the fact that I would probably lose whatever likeability or popular status I had now for being with Becca. But because I knew that if I had been with any other girl, people wouldn't have stared. Everyone was so judgmental against Becca, and it hurt me. She was the last person that deserved the kind of reputation she had. If people really took the time to get to know her, they would fall completely in love with her, just like I had.

We got our food and found a table in the corner by the window, that no one seemed to be sitting at. We began eating our food and Becca started talking about how Miss Jacobsen, the English teacher, had the worst coffee breath this morning, that almost made her sick. I couldn't help but laugh as she told in detail about how it had felt to have her breathe right beside her face, as she helped her with an essay.

We both laughed together but my laughing stopped when I suddenly spotted Sam and the other guys walk in the cafeteria, goofing around with each other. Sam instantly spotted me too, and we made eye contact. He didn't smile or wave or make any kind of contact, he just stared at the scene before him. They went in line to get some food and I tried to focus on Becca, but I couldn't help but look over at them every now and then. I wasn't sure If they were going to come over here or if they were just going to ignore it. Honestly, I didn't know which one I was hoping for the most.

"What are you staring at?" Becca suddenly asked and snapped me out of my thoughts. "Huh?" I said in confusion. She turned her head and looked behind her, right as Sam, Alex and Troye was walking over towards us with trays of food in their hands.

"Hey Blake" Sam said and gave me a fist bump as they arrived. They didn't greet Becca at all, in fact they acted like she wasn't even sitting at the table with me.

"So, what's up? You sittin' with us today?" he asked. I gulped down and looked over at Becca who was also staring at me, waiting for an answer. I could see that worried look form on her face again. It was obvious she was afraid I was going to be an asshole to her again in front of the guys. But not this time.

"Actually, I'm eating with Becca" I answered and looked at Sam. He looked between me and Becca for a second and opened his mouth to speak, but Troye spoke before he could. "What, are you guys dating or something?" he asked with a weird look on his face.

"Yeah, actually we are" I said and looked over at Becca who had a smile on her face, which made me so happy.  An awkward silence fell over us and none of the guys knew what to say, neither did I. "Oh... so I guess we'll just see you later then?" Sam asked, with the same weird look on his face.

"Yeah, okay" I said as they backed away from our table. I heard Alex scoff, which I didn't take as a positive thing. I watched as they walked over to their regular table and instantly started whispering to everyone sitting there, while ever so discreetly looking over at us.

"So... I guess it's official then?" I heard Becca say and I felt her hand on top of mine on the table. "Yeah" I looked over at her with a smile. "Are you okay with that? Officially being my girlfriend, I guess" I smirked.

"Yeah. You're sweet, funny, smart... and you're not an asshole. I would be proud to call you my boyfriend" she said with a cheeky grin on her face, as she put a forkful of pasta in her mouth.

"Not an asshole? That's a quality you like most about me?" I asked with a laugh. "Yep. It's the one that matters the most" I chuckled at her. "Well maybe you don't know if I'm not an asshole yet. What if I was a serial killer or something?" I teased.

"Killing people doesn't mean you're an asshole" Becca said with no reaction on her face, like that statement was just a known fact. "Killing people isn't an asshole thing to do?" I asked, getting more and more confused.

"Some people deserve killing" she plainly said while chewing pasta. "What?" was all I could utter with a nervous laugh. "Come on, I mean Hitler? Mouselinni? Bin laden? You're saying the guys who killed them, was an asshole for killing them?" I was speechless. I mean I guess she was right in some away, some people did deserve killing.

"So, what you're saying is, that if I was only killing people who deserved it, you would still date me?" I challenged her. She squinted her eyes at me and tilted her head slightly. "Are you trying to tell me that you're a serial killer Blake?" she asked, and my smile formed into a serious expression.

"Becca... I've been hunting you for years" I said, and she burst out laughing at me. I joined her. We laughed for a few minutes. I couldn't help but adore her even more after that horrifying and weird conversation. "Besides not being an asshole, you're also pretty cute" she said while looking me in the eyes. I could feel my cheeks getting warm again.

"You're pretty cute too" I said and smiled back at her.
