As we continued making out, I started to feel out of breath and I rested my forehead on hers, breaking our kiss. We both breathed hard as a smile formed on my face.
"Are you okay?" Becca exhaled and I felt one of her hands on my chest.
"Yes... I just can't believe I'm kissing you" I admitted, making her blush.
She grabbed tighter around my neck and pulled me close, connecting our lips again. I ran my hands down to her waist and pushed her closer to me. I ran one of my hands up to her neck and held her closely, deepening our kiss. She moaned lightly and pushed herself onto me even further. Every inch of her body felt like magic. I never wanted to let go of her again. I didn't know how long we stayed like that for, it felt like seconds, minutes, hours.
Everything inside me felt like it was about to burst out in fireworks, but it quickly turned off when I heard the sound of the front door upstairs open. I broke our kiss when suddenly a voice yelled out Becca's name.
"Becca? Where are you girl?!" the voice yelled again and I realized who it was. Becca's dad.
"Shit" Becca said under her breath and stood up quickly. She paused the movie, which I hadn't realized was still playing, as we heard him again.
"Rebecca Marie Johnson!" her dad yelled and for a second I realized I had never heard Becca's full name before.
"Shit. Shit. You have to get out of here" Becca half whispered to me. I got very confused.
"How?" was all I could ask, just as her dad swung open the door to her room.
"Becca! Can you go get me.." her dad yelled on his way down the stairs but stopped as soon as he saw what was in front of him.
Everything got so quiet you could hear a needle fall to the ground, as he stared directly at me. Her dad looked nothing like I had imagined. He was younger than I expected, and he didn't look like a messed up drunken guy. He looked good, besides the stains on his blue jeans and white t-shirt, indicating he didn't wash himself that often.
"What the hell is this Becca?!" he yelled even louder, waving his arms towards me while looking at her. Becca looked like she wanted to crawl into a hole and stay there.
"Dad, it's not what you think, this is-"she began explaining but he interrupted her.
"What did I tell you about bringing boys here?!" her dad yelled.
Becca started explaining again but he completely ignored her and went straight over to me. I couldn't remember the last time I had been this scared, as this big and very angry man stood right in front of my face. He grabbed the collar of my shirt and pulled me towards him. I could smell alcohol on his breath as he spoke.
"You... get the hell out of here, now" he said in a much too calm tone. I didn't know what to do until Becca spoke again.
"Dad! Let him go!" she yelled and grabbed his arm, but he didn't budge. He kept holding me and stared directly into my eyes as Becca pulled on him.
"You stay away from my daughter, you hear me?" he said and came even closer to my face. My heart was beating out of my chest and I felt like I was too scared to even breathe.
"Blake, I think it's best if you leave" Becca suddenly said, and I could see out of my eye that she was hiding her face in her hands. I nodded quickly and very slowly her dad let me go. I didn't waste any time throwing my books and computer into my bag and picking up my jacket. I hurried over towards the stairs immediately. As I went past Becca, she touched my arm lightly making eye contact with me.
"I'm so... so sorry about this. I'll call you later" she whispered to me and before I could say anything, her dad yelled again.
"Out!"
I jumped a little at his high volume and quickly went up the stairs and out the front door. I shuffled over to my car and sat in front of the wheel trying to control my breath. My hands were shaking, and my heart couldn't seem to calm down.
I sat and stared at the small yellow house which looked so peaceful and quiet, but as I had just found out, the inside was much more violent. I tightened my grip on the steering wheel and debated whether I should go in and get Becca. I just wanted to get her away from that man, but something told me that she had dealt with this before, and she knew how to handle him. I couldn't help but to dwell on the fact that her dad yelled something about her having boys over before. I felt like a complete asshole for letting jealousy fill my body in this situation.
I couldn't hear any noises of yelling or breaking coming from the house, so I decided to not cause any more trouble and drive away. I would call Becca as soon as I got home instead.
