Hey! (:
Trust me, in about four chapters, this story is about to get a hell of a lot interesting! But for now, please stick with it :)
Chapter Nine
I decided against telling Sammi about Kelsey coming. I don’t even know why I was scared, I mean she didn’t even know about our history, Sammi just thought she was our Danielle’s friend, nothing more and nothing less. When really, she meant a lot to me and to see her again, just before I went on holiday, just reminded me of how we left things, us both crying as I went in the taxi while she stood there at the end of my mum’s drive. It was heart-breaking and it just reminded me about how lucky I was now to have Sammi.
I sighed as I dragged the last of our suitcases into the minivan that First Choice had provided for us. We had said goodbye to everyone over the weekend, obviously they cried, well my mum did, and everyone wished us a good flight and begrudgingly as good eight months at work. I laughed when Josh tried the old, ‘can you take me in a suitcase?’ trick. I mean, why does everyone ask that?
“Is that it Sammi?” I shouted to her as she finished doing whatever the hell she was doing in the flat. She nodded her head through the window and I closed the boot while keeping the last bag inside so it doesn’t fall out onto the floor.
She came out of the flat finally and she locked the door before sending it some sort of sentimental smile and turned around with a huge grin as she skipped towards me. I returned her enthusiasm and gave her a peck on the lips before settling into the back with her as the driver drove off.
I can’t believe that we’re going to Ibiza for the first three months; it’s such a good opportunity. I mean, hardly anyone gets picked for this job, Sammi and I were very lucky. I feel a little guilty at the same time though, I mean I have the perfect girlfriend, the perfect friends…well sometimes and a great family. There are no wrongs in my life at all, and I feel like I don’t deserve it for some reason. I mean, I haven’t done anything too bad in my life, it’s just too perfect.
“I can’t wait to get into the sun.” Sammi gushed as she put her seatbelt on.
I returned her enthusiasm. “Same, my tan needs topping back up.” I joked and she slapped my arm jokingly.
As the car set in motion, I glanced at the flat one last time as we went down the avenue and onto the main road. Everytime we drove past something that I had visited in the four months holiday we had, I said a little goodbye to it. Sad I know, but I’m not going to be in England again until October 2013, it seems long away, but the months just seem to fly by.
Sammi was looking at a piece of paper so I took a sneak peek at it to see it was where we would be going and staying for the next eight months:
- Antonio Hotel, San Antonio Bay, Ibiza – two months
- Sunshine Resort, San Antonio Bay, Ibiza – one month
- Holiday Village, Malaga, Spain – one month
- Paradise Hotel, Benidorm, Spain – two months
- The Odyssey, Malia, Greece – two months
As I looked over the list again, I couldn’t help the grin on my face, I loved the places we were put in. Five out of the eight months are at hotels aimed at eighteen – twenty-four year olds, which means that we get to party and have fun with the people there, which is great! I mean, as long as we stick to rules, which are to be up in time for breakfast and be around the hotel until nine p.m. we’re allowed to do anything afterwards, which is usually going out with the people there. I have more Facebook friends from people I have met at work than people I knew from High School and College!
“I can’t wait for the Paradise Hotel.” Sammi stated as she folded the piece of paper back up and placed it in her bag.
“Why?” I asked a little confused.
“It’s an all-couple hotel.” She smirked and I changed my mind immediately. I cannot wait until we get to Benidorm!
“That sounds interesting; we haven’t been to one of those before.” I commented and she nodded her head. “It’s normally been family hotels or ones for those in our age group.”
“I know yeah, I can’t wait. I can just tell that the next eight months are going to be amazing!” She cried happily and I returned the smile before getting my I-Pod out and passing her an ear bud so that we could listen to some music for a while. As she took it, I knew immediately that she would get her phone out and start reading. It was just something she did when she was travelling. I found it kinda cute that she wasn’t some dumb blonde and instead spent time to read and not listen to shitty Dubstep.
The car journey to the airport wasn’t long, then after faffing around the airport, we were soon on the plane, heading for Ibiza.
“I am so glad I get to spend the next eight months with you flower.” I told her honestly as I settled more comfortably into the second-class seats.
“You’re such a cutie.” She cooed making me frown.
“I’m not cute.” I deadpanned. “Only girls can be cute.” I informed her even though I knew it would be to no avail as she’ll end up saying something similar next week.
She pouted, “Okay then handsome.” She winked and I gave her a kiss, but not a girly peck kiss. I mean, we didn’t have to use our seatbelts now we were in the air, so there was nothing to stop us.
Once we broke away, she had a silly grin fitted across her face, making me feel happy that I put it there. “I love you so much.” As I said the words that I couldn’t say enough to this girl, a glint shone in her eyes and it just made me feel more proud.
“I love you too.” I smiled as she spoke and gave her another kiss. This girl and I are meant to be together no matter what. I mean, I know I thought that about Kelsey and I, but this is the girl for me. If Kelsey and I are meant to be together, we would be, but we aren’t.
Hey (:
