It took her a little while to recover.

She breathed out.

Her hand had been resting on my waist the whole elevator ride, like she needed to keep me close or she might lose me again. There was something steady in her touch, something that grounded me even when my thoughts were all over the place.

The night had turned thick with tension, not the kind that pushes people apart, but the kind that pulls them dangerously close.

Her hand didn't move. She didn't let go. Then a man stepped in, glanced at us, his eyes flicking down briefly to the way we stood, how close we were, how her hand remained just where it was. Right on my underboob.

I didn't look at him. I didn't care. Because in that moment, the only thing that mattered was her touch and how it said everything we couldn't put into words.

There was no more pretending. No more holding back. That silence between us had already said too much, and it was becoming impossible to ignore the weight of wanting, the ache of missing, and the truth that we both had been trying to hide.

The first guy looked at me and smiled.

Bahagya siyang lumayo, looking so pissed.

I think Althea really needs to work on her jealousy. It shows more than she realizes, and honestly, she has no reason to feel that way.

I'm not even looking at anyone else. I've never been interested in anyone but her. She's the only one I want.

She tries so hard to look calm and unbothered, like none of it affects her. But the truth is, you can read her so easily.

One glance at her eyes and everything she's feeling is right there. She doesn't need to speak. Her eyes already say it all.

And even when she's trying to hold it in, I see it. That spark. That tension. That quiet way of saying she doesn't want to share me.

And strangely, I like it. Not because I want her to feel insecure, but because it shows just how much she cares, even when she's trying to hide it.

We entered and I noticed that she has a gloomy atmosphere room. Grey thick curtains, big TV in her living area, black carpet and above it is a small table and a grey sofa. Her sofa is large enough for two person to lay down.

"I have two bedrooms. Sa kwarto ka matutulog." She said as she gave me a glass of water.

"Saang kwarto?" Tanong ko pabalik sa binanggit niya.

"Kwarto ko."

I didn't ask any questions about that. Iyon ang desisyon niya. Gusto ko rin naman matulog katabi siya.

"Gusto mo bang mag linis muna ng katawan?" She looked at me.

"Wala akong dalang damit." Medyo mahina kong saad.

"I have a lot of unused clothes inside my dresser. We have the same size, Mariz." She then scanned me from my foot up to my eyes.

Binasa niya ang labi niya gamit ang dila at ang bahagyang pag kagat niya rito. I looked away.
