The forgotten Lynch

Lie to me

Today my mom decided to throw Ryland and Maddie a congrats party at my house. She invited just about everyone she knew. After we left Ryland's house I explained to Rosie that she does have a dad and even though he isn't here, he loves her very much.
I sigh as I wrap my towel around my body and walk to Rosie's room and wake her up. I give her a bath before finding her an outfit. I pick out a white dress with a pink floral print, with some pale pink sandals.
I brush her hair back into a ponytail before going back to my room to pick out my outfit. I pick a short blue dress. I pair some white sandals with it as well as a gold bracelet.
I curl my hair, and put some eyeliner and mascara on. When I hear the door go and people start coming in, I let Rosie run out back to say hi to everyone while I stop outside of Ryder's old nursery.
I gently touch the doorknob before sighing and walking away. I make my way outside to the party and greet everyone. I hug my mom before getting a drink. I see Maddie talking to Rydel while Cindy and Rosie are playing together close to them.
"Rhonwen?" A voice asks behind me
I turn around and almost scream. I run up to the girl and practically throw myself at her.
"Laura" I scream "It's been so long!"
"I know" She screams back
"Why are you here? I thought you weren't coming until Monday" I say pulling away
"I heard about the baby and needed to come to party to support my best friends!" She chirps
After Austin and ally  she and her mom moved to ohio and we barely see her. So when Maddie got engaged of course she asked Laura to be a bridesmaid.
"How's Rosie?" She asks
"She's great" I smile
"And does Travis know about her?" She says seriously
"Define know about" I say nervously
"I'm gonna say he doesn't know about him being the father" She chuckles
I sigh and nod. She looks behind me and excuses herself to talk to Maddie. It really is great to see her again. Everyone continues to mingle and joke around as the party continues. After about an hour or so I make my way to the bathroom.
I walk upstairs and slowly walk to my room. I open the door and am shocked when I see Blake in it. I clear my throat and he quickly puts down the picture of Rosie and I back on the nightstand.
"Why aren't you downstairs?" I ask him
"This party is mainly for girls" He shrugs, continuing looking around
"And you're in my room because?" I ask
"It's technically not your room.your room is down the hall" He smirks
"Doesn't answer my question" I state crossing my arms
"I'm just exploring" He says "Not much has changed"
"A lot has changed" I retaliate
My breath gets stuck in my throat when he's suddenly in front of me; barely a foot away. Our eyes meet and I look away.
"Nothing has changed" He says referring to how I would react whenever he was this close to me
He walks past me and stops in front of the nursery door. Memories flashed in my eyes from the last time we were in there. It was the last time we had sex which was also when I got pregnant.
He slowly opens the door and walks in. I follow him inside the room and watch carefully as he looks around. His hands go to the bear that he got Ryder. Next, his eyes go to the rug on the floor. He chuckles seeing that I kept the rug we had sex on for the last time.
"You know I used to love coming here everyday back when we were together. It was my second room" He states "I miss this house. I had everything here; Love, family, a best friends, a girlfriend, and would've had a son"
I stay silent as he makes his way in front of me again. His hand reaches out and tucks a strand of hair behind my ear and looks me in the eyes. He tries to lean in but I put my hand on his chest to stop him.
"We're not teens anymore Travis. We can't keep doing this" I whisper "Jade is probably waiting for you"
Hurt flashes through his eyes as he pulls away. He shakes his head and walks out. Right before he gets out of sight he turns around and says three words. Just three simple words, and I'm a mess.
"You look beautiful"
He turns back around and leaves me alone in the nursery. I walk back downstairs after using the bathroom, and Maddie walks towards me.
"Sorry I couldn't hang out much, everyone wanted to talk to me" She groans
I chuckle and offer her a grape which she happily plops in her mouth. We watch all the kids playing tag as they all giggle. While watching Rosie play, I can't help but wonder if Travis would be out there playing with her if he knew about her.
I sigh as I realize I dug myself in a hole so deep, I can't get out of it. She's going to grow up and hate me for not telling him about her. Why is my life so complicated? Why did Travis have to come back?
"You alright?"she asks
"Shouldn't I be the one asking you that?" I chuckle
"I don't know. I feel great" She laughs
"Just wait until the morning sickness. Just hope you don't puke at your wedding" I smirk
Her face goes pale and shakes the thought away. I laugh at her face until I hear aloud groan I look over and Rydel is clutching the table. She takes a deep breath and groans in pain once again. Riker and Rocky rush to her side and bombard her with questions.
"I'm fine! It's just braxton hicks. Help me to a chair my back hurts" She says
After they take a few steps she gasps and looks down at the puddle between her feet.
"Please tell me I didn't pee myself" She says worriedly
"No I think your water broke" Mackenzie says coming up beside her. Everyone freezes and Rydel looks like she's about to have a panic attack. She looks around and groans in pain from a contraction.
"What are you doing! Get me to the hospital unless you want me to give birth on the grass" She yells
All of a sudden everything becomes hectic. Riker and Rocky rush her to the car and the kids come over to their moms. Rosie comes over and I pick her up. I rush towards the car and get in the back with Rydel so she'll have support from someone who is a mom as well. Just as I'm about to get in my mom take Rosie and Cindy so she doesn't get scared. I nod and hand Them to her. Maddie gets in her car and follows us to the hospital.
"Rhonwen I can't this it hurts" Rydel says with tears in her eyes
"Just breathe through it" I say holding her hand
"I need my bag! I can't do this without Ellington" She cries
"We'll call him" I say
"I need him now" She groans
"Rydel this isn't the time he'll meet us at the hospital" I say
I take her phone out of her purse and text Ellington to grab the hospital bag and meet us at the hospital. The whole way there I hold Rydel's hand and help her through the contractions. Once we arrive at the hospital Riker parks the car while Rocky and I rush Rydel inside.
"Hi this is Rydel Lynch and her water just broke" I tell the receptionist
"Ok" She says waving over a nurse
A lady who looks in her thirties walks over with a wheelchair and Rydel sits down. We rush to a delivery room and the nurses prep her and get her and the baby on the monitor. The boys leaves but Rydel tells me to stay. I smile and nod before holding her hand.
"Ok Aubrey we're going to see how much you're dilated. You're going to feel some pressure" The nurse says before checking. After she checks she writes down on a piece of paper and shows the other nurses before she comes over and informs us.
"It looks like you're about 8 centimeters which is very fast for this being your second child" She informs us
"Ok so I can get the epidural now right?" Rydel asks needing a rest
She looks so exhausted and in so much pain. She has sweat on her forehead, her hair is a mess, and her makeup is ruined from crying so much.
"I'm afraid you're too far along to give you any medication to help with the pain" The nurse says with a sad smile
"No I can't take the pain I need the epidural" Rydel says as she starts to cry
"If we give it to you now, the baby may be in danger" She says Rydel cries even harder as a very powerful contraction rips through her. I try to get her to breathe, but she just yells at me to shut the hell up. I close my mouth and rub her hand for sympathy.
"Where the hell is Ellington?" She yells "He did this to me. This is all his fault. Please just make it stop!!"
As if right on cue Ellington walks through the door and rushes to Rydel's side. He tries to soothe her but she pushes him away.
"Stop touching me" She yells at him "YOU DID THIS...WHY DID YOU DO THIS TO ME AGAIN?"
Ellington is a sensitive guy and he looks like he's going to cry any second. I try to soothe him as Rydel continues to yell at him. Eventually, he gets up and storms out of the room. I sigh and shake my head at her.
"Rydel he's doing the best he can" I say "He didn't do this to you, you both did. You're letting the pain get to you. Breathe through it. All the stress isn't good for the baby. Do you want something to go wrong?"
She quickly shakes her head while crying
"Then let it all go. I know you're scared, but so is Ellington. Let him be here with you"
I walk out and see Ellington sitting on the floor outside of the room. I sit down next to him and rub his back. He sighs and wipes his tears away.
"It's just the pain talking. All that's on her mind right now is how it hurts especially since they told her she's too far along to get an epidural. Just let all the talk go in one ear and out the other." I say
He nods and walks in the room. I decide to give them some privacy and walk into the waiting room where everyone is. Maddie and Ryland, sitting down in some chairs while talking. Mom and Mary, standing by the coffee stand talking. Jade sitting down with an empty chair beside her. And then there's Travis who is walking towards me looking quite angry.
"Is it true?" He asks loudly making almost everyone look at us
"What are you talking about?" I ask
"Am I Rosie's father?" He yells
Everyone gasps and the whole room freezes
