When I wake up for work I see a notification saying summer school is cancelled due to the AC not working in Kingston high. I happily put my phone down and go back to sleep until Rosie wakes me up. I smile and kiss her forehead. I carry her to the bathroom and give her bath before dressing her in a white flowy tank top, navy green shorts, a headband, and white sandals. I put paw patrol on the tv and she watches it as I take a shower. I run the warm water and take off my clothes. I get inside and wash my body and hair. I wrap a towel around my body as I get out. I faintly hear the doorbell ring and I assume it's Maddie. But, when I open the door I come face to face with Travis. "Uh Hey" He says awkwardly "Hey" I say stepping aside to let him in "I'm sorry I thought you were Maddie." "It's fine" He says "Um I'm going to get dressed" I say before quickly walking to my room I go to my closet and take out a pair of light wash denim shorts, and a black crop top. I look in my mirror and make sure that these shorts don't reveal too much of my invisible ass. I sigh and exit my room with Rosie in my arms. "Daddy" She squeals when she sees Travis. Travis instantly comes over and take Rosie out of my arms. I straighten out my shirt and watch as he plays with Rosie. "So what are you doing here?" I ask "I figured I would spend the day with my two favorite girls" He smiles "Oh so you're holding one of them. Where's your other half?" I ask He chuckles and puts Rosie down. He stares at me and the memories of yesterday floods my memory. I blush and look down at the thought. Travis' fingers hook under my chin and leans in. He kisses my cheek lightly and I smile at the kind gesture. "My mom's having a cookout today. She told me to invite you" He chuckles "So here I am inviting you. I'm even offering to drive" "Ok just let me get my shoes" I chuckle I grab my white flip flops and slip them on before grabbing my phone and wallet. We walk outside and I put Rosie's car seat in the back. I go to open the back seat to get in but Travis stops me. "You're not sitting in the front?" He asks "Isn't Jade sitting up there?" I ask "No" He says shaking his head I nod and move to sit in the front. Rosie plays with her stuffed Sky dog as we drive to Mary house. He parks in the driveway and cuts the engine off. "So where's Jade?" I ask as I get Rosie out "Home" He says locking eyes with me "Oh" I say "Ganama House" Rosie squeals We walk to the back and see everyone talking and eating. Travis goes to say hello to his parents while Rosie races him there. I go to my mom and say hello to her briefly before walking over to the table where everyone is talking. "Hey" Maddie says as she sees me "Hi" I smile sitting down next to her "So what's everyone talking about?" "Ryland and I was talking about the fight Travis and Jade had yesterday" She says with some sort of glint in her eye "Oh is that why she didn't come with Travis? She stayed at the house because they're fighting?" I ask "What do you mean at the house?"Ryland cuts in "When I asked where she was he told me she was home. She's at your house right? It makes sense they would call it home if they're living with you until they go back to LA" I say "Yes Jade went home" Ashley says "Not our house...She went back to La" "So they have a fight and she runs back to La over something that will blow over in a few days?" I snort "That doesn't make any sense" "No Rhonwen you don't get it" Maddie puffs out "How are you so oblivious?" "What do you mean oblivious?" I ask rolling my eyes "Jade and Travis broke up Rhonwen" Ryland says "HA HA real funny guys" I laugh "They're engaged there's no way they broke up" "It's true" Rocky says sitting down "His relationship status is single and so is her's" "Wait... you facebook stalk him?" Ross asks her "Like you don't" Rocky scoffs "Everyone does. It's a brothers natural instinct" I tune the boys out and look over at Travis who is playing with Rosie. Blake's wearing a navy blue polo shirt with khaki shorts, and some converse. His shirt clings to his perfectly sculpted body. He has just enough muscle and gorgeous long hair. I watch as Rosie runs after him with dirt in her hand. He glances in my way and sends me a genuine smile before frowning. I chuckle and smile back as I see Rosie sneak up behind him just to throw dirt on his ass, making it look like he poop himself. Everyone jokes around and relax as the sun sets. I smile up at the pink sky while holding Rosie in my lap. Travis and Riker start a bonfire and we all gather around in a circle. Travis sits next to me, Rosie is on my lap; I'm sitting next to Maddie who is sitting down next to Ryland while they hold hands. Ryland is sitting next to mom and mom is sitting next to Mary. Rocky and Ross sits down next to Mary, and Riker sits next to Ross and we all have sparklers and sing songs around the campfire.

Rosie falls asleep in my arms and I carry her into the house. I wrap my arms around myself as I walk back to the fire. "Cold?" Travis asks coming up beside me "Yea a little" I nod "Here" He says putting his jacket around my shoulder "Thanks" I smile up at him "No problem" He smiles We gaze into each other's eyes smiling. Something about knowing him and Jade are over makes me want to lean over and kiss him, but I refrain from doing so. "You're really good with Rosie you know" I state "She loves you" "And I love her" He says Something in his expression makes me wonder if he has anything else he wants to say, but I keep my mouth shut and watch the fire. Around nine we say goodbye to everyone and Travis carries Rosie to the car. As Travis drives to my apartment his hand find mine and our fingers intertwine. I smile lightly at the memories from when we were together. Whenever we drove around he would always hold my hand. It's like his hand fits in mine like it's made just for me. Truth be told I am madly and deeply in love with him. I'm amazed whenever I look at him. Not just because of his looks. It's the fact that everything I've ever wanted is right here in this car. I want a family with Travis. I want to get married and argue over what pet to get, I want to have more kids, and most importantly I want to grow old with him and only him. After All, the best relationships are the ones you never saw coming. He parks in the garage and cuts the engine off. We stay in the car with our hand intertwined; neither of us attempting to break apart. All we can hear are our breathing as we steal glances in each other's direction. "I should probably get Rosie inside" I sigh "I'll carry her for you" Travis says I nod and we slowly get out of the car. He unbuckles Rosie and carries her in his arms as we walk through the lobby. "Maddie told me Jade left" I say trying to make conversation "Yeah she did" Travis answers "Why?" I ask as we get into the elevator "We got into a fight" He says "You know that's not what I meant" I say as the elevator moves "We just weren't working out" He lies I've known this guy most of my life. I know when he's lying to me. And right now is one of those rare occasions. The elevator dings and we silently exit. I unlock my door and Travis carries Rosie to her room while I take off my shoes and put my purse away. "Are you going to tell me truth about the fight?" I ask once he appears in my sight "It was the truth" He lies "I've known you for as long as I can remember. I know when you're lying to me" I say disappointed "I was hoping you would at least tell me why you guys broke up" "You want the truth?" He says taking a step closer "We broke up because I'm still in love with you" I gasp and he takes another step closer "Because I still have feelings for you and no matter how hard I try, a part of me just won't let go" He says "Because deep down I hope you still love me too" He says taking one more step Our chests touch and he looks questionably in my eyes, almost anticipating my response. Our eyes meet and I let a smile take over. My eyes flicker to his eyes before closing the gap between us. Today is the greatest day.
