Chapter 9

Grian pov 

I wake up feeling my head pounding, wait I'm in my bed how did I get out?..... was it a dream?.... I look to see mumbo on the floor. 

Did he stay the night?.... must have ...maybe it wasn't a dream. I think as I stand up and try to walk away without waking up mumbo. 

"Grian?..." I hear a tired voice say from behind me and I look behind me at mumbo.

 "Y-yeah?" I ask. As he stands up and walks to me hugging me. 

I can't help but feel my face start heating up as I lean into him.

 "Why were you not wearing your elytra...it's been awhile we were worried.." mumbo says. 

I sigh "sorry mumbo...thought I had a exit down there" I say hugging back.

 We stand there for awhile in peace I almost fell asleep until I heard a voice behind me."ah sorry to interrupt you love birds"iskall says making mine and mumbo's face heat up we quickly stop hugging and I rub my arm.

 "Hah...nice joke iskall what do you need" I ask.

 "I was wondering g if I could talk to you alone." Iskall says. 

"I should be going anyways I'll be back later " mumbo says flying off waving I wave back and turn to look behind me. 

Seeing iskall serious face with his arms crossed. 

"Grian. Why was there blood on the ground in the room. And do not lie to me." Iskall says sounding the most serious I have ever heard him. I rub my arm "I've been waking up coughing blood as of recently " I say looking down.

 Iskall comes over and lifts my head making me look at him. "Why." He asks still serious.

"I don't know... I just have been...." I say.

 He can tell I'm not lying and he sighs and holds his head,"this is not good g" Iskall says.

 He walks back and forth thinking "I think we should as cub or joe about it they may know since maybe it's a sickness..." Iskall says. 

I nod in agreement knowing fully well that there a chance they don't know. 

I feel iskall take my hand and kick off the ground flying. 

We land at cub base con corp.

 " cub you here?" Iskall calls out.

I see cub amerge from one of the building covered in oil and smoke.

 "Yeah iskall what you need" cub says. 

"Grian been coughing blood every time he wakes up"Iskall says point to me making me want to shrink down and hide. 

Cub stares at me worried "what..... how why" cub says. "We don't know we were hoping you did " Iskall says. Cub walks over to me looking at me for any wounds and then looking at my throat noticing some cut. 

"Was that there before?"  Cub asks touching the wound. 

I hiss in pain and step back from cub hand. 

"N-no" I say. Iskall and cub both look at each other then me. 

"Grian has someone been hurting you" they both ask at the same time.
