[[A/N] So I asked what it deserves, and the answer was 120 of the maximum people. Let's just say maybe it deserves this many only, because the last few ones weren't even this much.
It was due tomorrow. But I finished it today so here you go
Anyway, vote if you want to. It's your choice]
She inhaled the deep scent in the full moon night. Somehow in darkness too it had a sense of peace that every human searches for. As if it was what she needed. She rubbed her shoulders as she took a deep breath in the cold breeze.
She turned hearing the sound of something in the kitchen. She walked towards it, since she was just standing at the window near it "you want something?" said spotting Omkara. "Uh... Huh... Water" he showed her the glass, holding it up. "Hmm" she said.
"You did not sleep?" Gauri shrugged. "Nervous?" he asked. "Well.. ummm... I was not before. But certainly I am now. I... I don't know" she answered. "Well, I will take it as a good sign" Omkara smiled. "How?" she arched a bow in confusion. "Well, that for me to know and you to find out" he finished his water and was about to move out.
"Will you be there tomorrow... With... With me... us?" she asked, hesitantly. "Waada karta hoon" he smiled and walked off leaving her taking a sigh of relief.
"Gauri let's go" Annika said as she carried a bag on her shoulder. She had packed everything that was needed in the hospital and in these few hours, she was trying to figure out if anything was left. "Id, reports, prescriptions... I guess I have taken everything.. Gauri, is anything left that you can remember of?" she asked her sister.
"Omkaraji" she said rather to herself while trying to figure out where he was. "Gauri, I am asking is there something that you remember that we should be taking?" Annika asked again. "Jiji, Omkaraji kaha hai?" Gauri said in a reply.
Annika sighed on her sister's behaviour. This girl was unimaginable. She was still finding the man who was no where to be seen since morning. Probably, he won't be seen anywhere now, now that he had told her that he will be leaving, Annika guessed that he might not even show his face. Afterall, just talking about things is easy rather than actually facing the situation "I don't think he is coming Gauri and anyway we are late, let's get going soon" Annika said.
But he promised. He had promised her and she knew Omkara never had broken his promise.
"Maa" she heard her little daughter calling her. "You are leaving for your exam?" Gauri nodded as she got down on her knees. "Sorry, I can't come with you. Dadaa said I have to be in school" she pouted. "But I will wait for you. I know you will come 1st" Anaya hugged Gauri "maa come back soon". She hugged her back tightly "maa will be back soon beta" a tear drop escaped her eye.
"Jiji, can't we wait for him?" Gauri asked Annika. "Gauri let's go. We have an appointment and if he wants he can come in the hospital and you know that. So let's get going hmm" Annika placed her right palm on Gauri's cheek. "Par jiji...." she cuts "Chutki please. For my sake, don't play with yourself anymore. You have already waited a lot. If he wanted, he would have been here" she tried to make her understand.
Just than her phone pinged 'start your journey to the hospital. I will be there, I promised remember ?' she smiled a little. "Let's go" she walked off leaving Annika confused
He stood in front of a mud statue. For years, this had always been a statue. But still here he was, joining his hands, standing in front of her... Shankerji
"I have already given up all my faith upon you. But still I know she has all the faith left in her. She considers you as her father and even after all she has gone through, she has her believe in you. I am not asking anything as I never did. But for her, just for her, please give her her life back. She deserves a life. She deserves to live. She deserves this world of yours that you have created. Don't snatch that from her. Don't.. snatch that please" he shook while crying as his forehead touched his fingertips.
