Peridots POV

I can't believe Amethyst really convinced me that we wouldn't get caught robbing this bank, and I can't believe I actually came.

The cops were on us now, our getaway car was slowly breaking down due to the amount of bullet holes in it.

"YO P, YOU GOTTA DISTRACT THEM SOMEHOW!" Amethyst yelled over all the commotion. I peeked my head out of the sunroof, the chilly air smacking me right in the face.

"PULL OVER!" The cop cars speakers roared at us, which caused me to jump a bit. I slumped back down in my seat. "G-guys we really should stop!"

"And get arrested? No way!" Amethyst was still driving, and was headed towards a dead end road.

"Amethyst! We won't make it on just dirt, and we can't turn around!" I looked behind us and now the cops were really close. I started to tear up, knowing I would be going to prison.

-

The cop had me bent on the hood of her car, putting me in handcuffs and taking the gun I had away from me. Amethyst was already long gone, because she ditched me. She promised to come break me out, but could she even walk into the prison without them recognizing her?

"What's your name?" The cop finally said, after tightening the cuffs on my wrists.

"Peridot.. Peridot Greene." I sighed. She nodded after scribbling my name on her hand, guess she didn't have a notepad with her. She walked me to the door behind the passengers side and motioned for me to get in.

Soon, we were parked in-front of the Delmarva State Prison. I sighed loudly as the cop took ahold of my cuffs behind me, and walked me up to the front doors.

They took my thumb print, handed me that AWFUL orange jumpsuit. I stepped out of the changing area and handed the cops my clothing, which they stuffed in a bag with all my other belongings.

"You'll be sharing a cell due to limited space." They walked me down this long hallway, and t a cell that was in the corner and dark.

At first, I didn't see the other girl sitting there until the light of the moon lit up her blue hair. She seemed to groan, probably hoping to not have a cell mate.

"Your court date will be given to you soon." The cop locked the cell behind me and I looked for somewhere to sit, since there was only one bed and my blue-haired cell mate was already occupying it.

I slid down the wall, sitting down across from the bed. I leaned my head on the wall and eventually drifted to sleep.

This chapters kind of all over the place but hey, you now know why they're in jail hehe.

I'll probably update this book on the weekends, unless I have free time during the week!
