Happy pride month everyone!~

Lapis's POV

"S.. She's hit me. She's forced me to work for her company and now that I've ruined the clean record for our name, she's going to be even worse about things." Peridot balled up her fist and let the tears fall.

I reached over and wiped her tears, her hand holding mine on her cheek.

"I'm so sorry, Peridot.." I sighed, and stroked her cheek with my thumb.

"It's okay, Laz. Nothing I can do about it now." She sighed. "Wherever I go after I get out of here, she's going to find me."

"I wish I could do something.."

"Maybe you can.. Come here." Peridot wrapped her arm around my waist and pulled me over towards her.

"Periiii!" I chuckled, trying to hide my embarrassed face from the other prisoners starring at us through our cell bars.

One of them was Pearl, who just kinda sat there smiling. When she noticed that I noticed her, she quickly turned her head away and went back to doing whatever she was doing.

Peridot kissed me on the cheek and neck, until I gently pushed her away. "Peridot, not here. Everyone will see..."

Peridot sighed and gave me a disappointed look. "Fine, Lazuli. But when I get the chance I'm gonna-"

I cut her off with a kiss, and then slid off her lap to sit back down on the bed.

"Touché." Peridot chuckled, laying down on the bed.

"Well had to shut you up some how."

Peridot swatted at my arm and groaned. "Whatever you say."

"What are our plans for today?" I asked, looking out the window from my spot in bed.

"I dunno. Not much we can do."

"Lets play basketball."

This got Peridots attention and she sat up so fast, her glasses almost flew off her face. "Basketball?! No way I'm playing a SPORT!"

"Oh cmon it'll be fun!"

"I do not have a good experience with basketball." Peridot groaned and rubbed the top of her head. "I got hit in the head once and passed out."

"Well then you can watch me play." I smiled. "And sorry to hear about that." I was holding back a laugh.

"I CAN SEE YOU HOLDING BACK A LAUGH!!!" Peridot flailed her arms in the air.

I let out a loud snort-laugh, which made Peridot laugh. We were laughing for about 5 minutes until someone across the hall told us to "shut the fuck up".

We walked into the yard after being released, and Peridot followed me over to the basketball courts. Peridot sat down on the bleachers while I walked over to the small group of girls picking out teams.

I approached them with a bit of caution, unsure on how they acted. "Hey, can I play?" One of the girls nodded and picked me for her team. She was fairly young looking, but I didn't want to ask how old she was, that'd be rude.

We started the game after awhile of planning out who would be where. Since I was one of the taller people, they picked me to play offense.

A buff girl with rainbow dreads decided to be the referee, and called us all over for the jump ball to see who would possess the ball first.

I jumped up and smacked it towards my team, which thankfully the young girl caught it. I ran down to the other teams goal and got open for the ball. I caught it and made a shot.

Peridot was cheering for me on the stands, then something else caught her attention. I followed her eyes to see what she was looking at, and I saw Jasper standing at the edge of the bleachers grinning at me.

I froze in place, and my body tensed up. Peridot must've noticed this, because she ran onto the court yelling at the group to stop playing.

"STOP! EVERYONE STOP!" Peridot cane running towards me. Once she got to me she put her hand on my chin and turned me to face her.

"Come on, lets go back to our cell."

Peridot took my hand and we walked back into the cell block. Nobody else was inside, so she stopped in the middle of the hallway.

"Are you alright?" She put her hands on my shoulders and pulled me into a hug.

"I- Yeah.." I sighed.

"No you're not! Talk to me about it please?" Then Peridots eyes got wide, and I turned around to see what she was looking at.

Jasper was right behind me and the last thing I saw was her fist coming towards my face. The last thing I heard was Peridot yelling "NOOO!"  Then calling for a guard.

I low key hate how this chapter turned out but jasper is going to be in the story more so yeet. Also if you enjoyed please vote it helps out a lot!

Also I just wanna say thank you all so much for 3k+ reads. This started out as a little story me and my friends could enjoy bc we all love lapidot but now it's #2 in the tag lapidot and stuff. Thank you again for making this story bigger than I thought it would be.
