Hope when you try to impress her but end up hurting yourself

you had been trying to get Hope's attention for a while now. sure, you two talk every once in a while and yes, you's shared some of the same classes but she didn't seem to fazed by your (failed) flirting attempts.
you's had all been sent to do community service because of the fight that broke out during one of your games and obviously you had picked trash since Hope did too.
"hey, hope!" you call out to her. she turns around and raises her eyebrows at you, "watch this"
you were watching Hope train the other day with Mr. Saltzman and thought it looked pretty cool to learn, also Hope seemed into it so why not?
you spin your stick around a few times and Hope looks pretty impressed, or bored, you can't really tell when it comes to her, until you drop it and the point goes through your shoe.
you scream out in pain while Hope rushes over to you, "pull it out!" you yell which she does.
Hope's contagious laugh fills your ears after a few seconds of silence. you look up at her with your eyebrows creasing wondering how this was funny.
"you poked yourself" Hope says in between giggles. a grin soon takes over your face as you two laugh about your failed attempt at being cool.
