Break ups were never easy, especially if you never wanted to do it in the first place. Klaus Mikaelson had been the reason for you breakup with long term boyfriend Matt, and you were devastated.
Matt had been ignoring you because he asked for a reason and you obviously couldn't give him one, but tonight you, Matt, Bonnie, Caroline, Elena and Stefan were all hanging out at the Mystic Grill and you thought now was as better time than any.
"Hey Elena, can you grab me another drink?" You ask her as you hand her some money. She furrows her eyebrows and you quickly gesture to Matt and she quickly agrees with a smirk on her face.
"Guys, c'mon" Elena gestures for the group to follow her.
"Elena, I don't think getting one drink is a five person job" Caroline says as she raises her eyebrows. Elena rolls her eyes as she grabs Caroline's hand and pulls her away with Bonnie and Stefan following after them.
You grab Matt's arm before he can walk away, "Can we talk?" You ask him and he hesitated but soon agreed.
You find yourself becoming nervous even if you had practiced this scenario a thousand times since the break up happened. "I...Wow, this is harder than I thought"
Matt grabs your hand to calm your nerves and gives you a reassuring smile, "I never stopped loving you"
Matt smiles at you and opens his mouth to reply but Caroline beats him to it, "Sorry to interrupt this moment, but you never told Elena what drink you wanted?"
"Caroline! Way to ruin a moment" Bonnie yells over to her causing everyone to laugh
