You had recently broken things off with Cora because the two of you were constantly fighting and she never trusted you. It killed you to do so because you really liked her and you could see yourself falling in love with her.
Cora, on the other hand, had become a bit obsessive since the break up and was constantly worrying about who you were with and who you were talking to which is why her and Peter were currently watching you talk to a girl behind their car.
"You should just talk to her...Tell her you're sorry like a normal person would, you know?" Peter says, looking over at his niece.
"Shh" Cora replies, "Oh shit"
