you and Isabelle broke up a few months ago because she just didn't have time for a relationship with everything going on in her life. it killed you and it became very awkward to work with her. you ended up asking Alec to have some time off which he allowed you to do.
"i was talking to y/n-"
"wait, since when do you talk to her?" Isabelle asks her older brother.
"uh, since i was asking when she was coming back" Alec replies and Izzy nods, "she still loves you, you know?"
Isabelle opens her mouth but closes it a second later as she can't find the words to reply with. she couldn't ignore the feeling of happiness she received when her brother said those words.
"she does...?"
"yes, and i know you still love her so why don't you call her?" Alec asks and before Isabelle could protest he says, "what's the worst that could happen? you'll never get anywhere if you don't try"
Isabelle nods her head, "you're right" she says and Alec grins at her as she says something about how he's always right.
