"hope" you groan as she leaves a hickie on the side of your neck. you haven't had alone time with your girlfriend in awhile and you were trying to enjoy it, but the memories of what you did are haunting you. you need to tell her even if it breaks her heart and destroys everything between you two.

"what?" hope asks breathlessly as she pulls away from you.
"i..." you try to think of what to say as tears begin to cloud your vision, "i never meant to hurt you..."
"what did you do?" hope questions you as she stands up and starts to put her shirt back on.

"what did you do!"
"I cheated on you with penelope"your heart breaks at the look on hope's face and if you could take everything back you would in a second with no doubts. you don't know how or why it happened, but it did and now you have to deal with the consequences.
"I thought you loved me"
"I do...hope, please"hope turns around so she's not facing you, but you can still hear the sobs that leave her mouth. you stand from her bed and place your hand on her shoulder which she quickly pushes away."hope..."

hope looks at you in disbelief, "you did this to yourself now get out" she screams at you.you flinch slightly as she yells at you, but leave nevertheless. you can hear her loud cries after you close her bedroom door. you fall against it as more silent tears fall down from your face.
