You and Lauren had been best friends for a few years and you couldn't imagine it being any different, but the past few months you've felt different around her. You find it hard to explain but you find yourself becoming happy whenever you're around her, getting butterflies whenever you hear her laugh and goose bumps whenever you's touch.
You really want to tell her mainly because you suck at keeping secrets, especially from her, but you can never bring yourself to do it since she is dating Tyrone (Ty dolla sign). Anyone can see how happy they make each other and you could never bring yourself to ruin that, until last night.
Last night Lauren threw a party and of course you went. You ended up getting very drunk to the point that now you don't remember most of it, but when you woke up and saw that Lauren was acting weird you had asked her what happened and she told you that you mentioned your massive crush on her.
Embarrassment is the only thing that you feel right now. You apologised a thousand times and asked Lauren if she could just forget you had said anything. It was obvious she didn't feel the same way and you knew that would happen but now actually being in the situation and hearing the words leave her mouth still breaks your heart.
"I'm sorry, Y/N, I love you a lot, but as a friend and you know I'm dating Ty. I could never do that to him"

Dua Lipa was your best friend. You's had been friends since forever and you were insanely proud of how far she has come since you's first met. She's about to go on tour and you are helping her pack.
"You know, I'm going to miss you so much" You say as you stop packing to stare up at her.
"I'll miss you too!" She answers, leaning over to give you a quick hug, "It will only be for a few months then we can spend as much time as you want together"
The two of you's finished packing and before you knew it you were standing in front of Dua at the airport trying to hold back your tears. You look up at the taller girl and your heart starts beating so fast you think it's going to burst out of your chest any minute. You told yourself last night that today, before Dua leaves, you would tell her how you felt back her.
"Dua, I have to tell you something important before you leave" You nervously stutter as you play with your fingers to distract yourself.
Sensing your nerves Dua grabs your hand, "Hey, you know you can tell me anything, right?"
You slowly nod before you take a deep breath, well, here goes nothing. "I really hope this doesn't ruin our friendship but I've liked you for a while now, as more than a friend." You finally admit, refusing to look at Dua.
Dua cups your face and turns your face towards her so now you have to look at her, "Y/N, I-I've liked you for a while now too"
Before you can even process the words that just Dua's mouth, her lips are on yours and you're afraid you're going to melt. Your heart starts going crazy as the butterfly feeling fills your stomach and your knees turn to jelly. You waste no time in kissing her back and neither of you pull away until her flight is being called over the loud speaker.
"I'll call you when I land so we can talk, okay?" Dua tells you and you nod, the smile never leaving your face.
"Alright" You slightly pout as you give her one last hug.
