A week that has passed since Luke and I talked I still feel down. I didn’t eat well I don’t know why I’m struggling hard to keep ahead, I haven’t called Michael yet. I’m still thinking what I will say to him more like what I will explain.
I cried again most of the nights Jans got worried about me again, I didn’t attend my class regularly I skip sometimes which is bad for my student records on my major subjects but I can’t focus well knowing that Michael is seeing someone. Maybe it is really the end of us? Still, I can’t accept it and I don’t want to. I made a mistake of my own for our love and this is what I got I’m the one who risk but still the one who suffer.
Caleb keeps calling me so does George but I ignore them for a while I don’t want them to pity me at this moment. Its weekends and I decided to pack few things of mine and visit my mother this time I want her advice and tell her I haven’t move on and forgot about Michael and if I keep hiding this I will explode. I leave a note on Jans desk and headed downstairs as I got a call and it’s Luke.
“Luke?” I said over the phone.
“Hi. Why you haven’t called him?” He asked.
I keep on walking till I got outside of the dorm and took a seat as I talk to Luke.
“I don’t want to but I had a plan..”
“Look Lai, he called me if there’s news about you I just said I’m getting closer. What’s your plan though?” He said.
“You sound like you didn’t tell me heartbreaking words.”
“I’m sorry. I was just thinking he will dump that girl if he knew you were really here I told you he loves you.” He defended.
“Luke! This is a serious matter to me! This isn’t just a game, so what? The girl is just a toy to him? Whenever he feels lonely he’ll just call her up, God!” I yelled at him.
It really made me pissed off.
“Geez. Sorry! I’m just trying to help..” He whispered.
“I know. I’m sorry I yelled at you.”
“So what’s your plan?”
“I’m going to New York...” I said.
“You what?!” He shouted.
“I’m going to my mom right now, I’ll call you before I leave.. It’s time to face him this takes longer I don’t have the guts yet but I have to do this or end this.” A tear went out of my eye.
“Okay, I’ll drive you to the airport so we could still talk.” He said.
I said my goodbye and end the call.
I am now on the bus our house is only about 2 hour drive from my dorm. I don’t feel much excited to see my mom I was more like anxious to see her because of the things that I will say to her but I know she will understand. I’m still a teen and I don’t even wonder what will I do on my 20th.
After the long drive on the bus I am now finally here.
Staring to this white painted house with rectangular windows, I open the small gate and rang the doorbell, she will probably scream when she finds out it’s me I didn’t call her that I will visit her today. It took me three times to ring the doorbell and the lights went on the door and I saw a shadow walk by and the door opened.
Mom stared at me I just smiled at her. I burst into tears and she quickly pulls me into a hug and I drop my bags on the ground.
“Oh sweetie! Why you didn’t call me?” Mom said as she cried too.
