TWENTY ONE

Standing face to face with Michael at the airport with tears on my eyes again, Michael will go back now to New York. It was so fast being with him, being together with him officially. I hug him so tight and I don’t want to let go.

“Lai, I’ll be back after this semester don’t worry..” Michael whispered on my ear.

“I know, it’s just.. you know we’re this again.” I said.

“I promise you this won’t happen again, ever.” Michael said and plants a deep kiss on my lips.

Michael’s flight has been called and we hug and kiss again for the last time before he went in. I watch him walk until I didn’t see him. I walk out of the airport with sadness on my face but not like before like literally which I know every time I visual it, it was worse. As I continue walking I saw Luke standing next to a car and he’s looking at me.

“Why you’re here? Why you didn’t say goodbye to Michael?” I asked and walk towards to him.

“I actually did yesterday and this morning, I just watch you guys say goodbye with each other I don’t want to interrupt..” Luke sighed.

“Are you okay?” I looked concern.

“Yes, it’s just Michael wants me to drive you back to your dorm so let’s go and get your stuff to the hotel..”  Luke gave me a soft smile as he enters the car.

I opened the door and stared at Luke. “You know it’s okay if you don’t want to, I can take a cab.. You can go home Luke, thank you.” I said and close the door.

I start walking away then Luke suddenly grabs my arm.

“Luke?”

“I promised Michael to take care of you if even I don’t really want to and he’s scared that British friends of yours will do something, okay? So get in my car and let’s go.” Luke said and dragging me to his car.. intentionally.

I didn’t say a word I just got on the car and Luke starts driving it was a silent drive. I’m really thankful for him doing this, Michael is such a bossy person and making Luke do things, thoughts playing on my mind and I laughed out of nowhere.

“What’s wrong with you?” Luke asked out of confusion.

“You we’re just so nice to Michael, thank you.” I said.

Luke smiled and taps my shoulder.

Luke and I got to the hotel and I quickly pack my clothes which is only few the hotel is already paid as I finish sorting my things we went out of the hotel and Luke drives me back to my dorm. I say my goodbye and thank you to Luke as we got here but he waited outside for Jans because he said he misses her and he admitted to me that he really loves Jans he said that it is true love, I laughed hard enough when he say the words true love. He just gave me a smirk, I wave goodbye and went inside of the dorm.

A week to survive with nothing to do because of this suspension, I was just laying down on my bed staring on the ceiling with no reason at all.

“You okay or not again?” Jans asked.

“I’m all good, no worries. I’m just feeling bored.” I said.

“Why don’t you go somewhere else? Call Michael?”

“First I don’t feel strolling or whatever, second calling Michael this early will just make me miss him more probably by tomorrow I’ll call or he will.” I said and stands up and sat on the bed and let out a deep sigh.

“Well as for me I’ll go on a date with Luke after my class.” Jans said having this wide smile.

“Alright, enjoy Luke!” I teased.
