do you still dance when you're alone
hoping that your phone
will connect you with the world
your oversized coat
and gleaming blush on your cheeks
saves you
from ever being seen as weak

do you even remember me
a few months ago
you promised we'd meet
things go forgotten
naturally
it's just a shame
you had to forget about me
my trouser babe
i was always too shy to say anything
but i am glad i said goodbye
i just hope to see you again
maybe for ice cream
or is that too weak
i just missed out
on kissing your cheeks
eyelid darling
aren't you just too much
your sweet giggle
is enchanting enough
the way you speak in italics
makes my heart flutter
you're so wondrously sweet
but how? i still wonder

i never knew you well
you would just say a few words
and i would just swell
your blue eyes
caught my resistance
every photo was better
when gifted by your existence
