request: Antonio Dawson request: the reader being his partner and getting shot🙂

"dawson and y/l/n enter through the backdoor while halstead and upton enter through the front" voight orders. with a nod, both you and antonio head towards the back.
"now" voight says through the radio. antonio kicks open the door and you walk in before him with your gun raised.
you hear a gunshot and then you're on the floor with a bleeding lower abdomen. "y/n!" antonio yells as he shoots at the offender
Jay and Hailey handle the rest of the offenders while antonio gets on his knees and takes off your vest. "i got an officer down, bullet wound to the lower abdomen. location 4537 lake road, send an ambulance" antonio rushes into his radio as he applies pressure to stop the bleeding.
"you're gonna be okay, the ambulance is on its way" antonio reassures. "you have to be okay" he murmurs under his breath.
"hear that? the ambulance is nearby okay, stay awake a few more minutes for me" antonio pleads
you try to nod your head, but you're just so tired and your eyes feel so heavy.
you slip in and out of consciousness

"i can't lose her Gabby, i can't lose another partner" antonio says quietly while he was sitting beside you in the ambulance as he takes your hand in his and brings it to his lips.

"how much longer till we get to the hospital?! her heart just stopped" antonio says, frustrated
"two minutes, all we can do is try to keep her stable till we get there" gabby responds

"detective y/n y/l/n, gunshot wound to the lower abdomen. has been in and out of consciousness, went into cardiac arrest but is now stable" brett says as she helps roll you in

"she's gonna need surgery to repair the damage" rhodes tells the unit who have been in the waiting room the whole time

"the surgery went well, she should wake up soon. i'll explain everything once she's awake"
"you can go visit her if you want" will says

"you scared me y/n. I should have gone in first, if i had then...." antonio trails off as he looks at you, still asleep from the anesthesia

when you wake up, the first the first sound you hear is beeping and you feel someone holding your hand.
"y/n?" antonio says hopefully
you try to sit up, but he gently stops you and you lay back down.
"water" you croak out
antonio hands you a cup of water and you hungrily drink it.
"thanks" you say
he sets the water down and resumes his seat beside you.
"i was so worried about you. you shouldn't have gone in first, i should have taken the bullet, i sho-" you interrupt him
"stop okay? it wasn't your fault, so stop blaming yourself" you insist
after a few minutes of silence he says, "i can't imagine you not being my partner" as he takes your hand in his.
"you won't have to" you smile at him as the rest of the unit comes into your room
