Wes' POV

I drive until I find the telephone booth, Eleanor is sitting on the curb, a bag beside her and her head in her hands. I pull up to it and get out of the car.

"Hey, what's going on?" I ask, sitting beside her. I lightly place my letter jacket over her shoulders. She is still wearing her dress.

"He kicked me out," she whimpers, "He said I was a disgrace and he didn't want me around anymore. Said he couldn't even stand the sound of my breathing anymore. I don't know where to go or what to do Wes,I'm scared."

"It's okay, calm down," I tell her, "You can stay at my place until you sort things out."

"Wes, there is no sorting things out," she says, "He kicked me out of the house. I'm only in tenth grade, I'm fifteen. And I don't have parents."

"You don't need that douche," I say, "Eleanor, really. Since when was he even a proper guardian anyways?"

"I don't think you understand," she says, "Wes, he is the only family member who hasn't completely rejected me. He was all I had, and now I have nothing."

It hits me then.

She has nothing.

My life seems fucked up at times, but in all honesty, it's amazing.

That's what I want to give to her.

"Get in the car, you can stay at my place," I tell her. I didn't want to have to have her stay with me, and I don't know how my parents will react. But I have no choice.

"They'll be okay with me staying over?" she asks. I shrug. "If they aren't, they'll flip out on me," I reply, "They'll be fine to you. I promise."

"Okay," she replies, getting on the shotgun seat, "But I'm not sure how safe I feel having you as my chauffeur."

I laugh. "You'll be fine, the road is empty tonight," I promise. I drive home and park in the garage. I take Eleanor's hand as I approach the door, I am honestly scared of the reaction I will get.

Luke's POV

We had been waiting patiently for Wes for thirty minutes before I hear the door open.

I turn around to see him and a shorter girl in a purple dress.

"Wes, drive that girl back to where she came from," I say sternly, "You will not be sleeping with girls before marriage, I will not let that happen."

"Fine, I'll take her back to the telephone booth!" he yells at me. I raise an eyebrow and turn around to look at Ellie. She stands up and puts her hand around my waist.

"Sweetheart, what is your name?" Ellie asks the girl. "Eleanor," she quietly replies, "Eleanor Baily."

"Okay Eleanor, you can sleep in the second room to the right upstairs, okay?" Ellie asks. "Thank you, Mrs. Hemmings," she replied before walking upstairs with her small bag.

"Sit down," I tell Wes. He doesn't refuse, he sits down on the couch across from me and Ellie, right beside Ansley.

"Ansley, honey, go to bed," I tell her. She silently walks up to her bedroom. Now it's just Wes, Ellie and I.

"I want a good explanation son," I say. "Of course," he starts.

"Eleanor has been abused since she was little," he says, Ellie grasps my hand a little tighter, "And it was terrible. Tonight, her father kicked her out of the house. You both don't understand how bad it is."

"I do," Ellie says. I'm not ready for this. I hate hearing about Ellie being abused.

"Honey, you know I was abused when I was little," she says, "But...I have proof of how bad it is."

She pulls up her shirt to show her stomach. There is a long scar across it, and then the scar from where she got shot by her father.

Wes swallows hard. Ellie normally covers them up well, especially when we go swimming, she uses this waterproof stuff.

"And then these," she says, rolling up her sleeves to show cut scars. "I'm sorry mum," Wes whispers, tears brimming his eyes.

"It's okay," Ellie says. I can't talk, I am focused on her.

"You should get to bed Wes," she says, "Goodnight."

He hugs both of us before he walks upstairs before saying a word.

Ellie looks at me and hugs me, lightly kissing my collarbone.

"I'm fine," she whispers, "I am just fine."  "Thank God," I reply.

Thank God she is okay.
