Ellie's POV

I wake up the next morning and wake up all three of the kids. They come downstairs following me. Luke is already sitting on the living room couch, sipping from a cup of coffee.

"Kids, I really don't know what to do," I say. "Agreed," Luke says, smiling.

"Can't Eleanor just stay with us?" Wes asks. "Not unless we adopt her," I reply, "And then you couldn't date her. Or be in love with her like that."

"We have to take her dad to court," Luke replies, saying what I would eventually need to break to them.

"What?! No!" Wes exclaims, "She can't possibly go back to that bastard of a father!"

"Wes, don't you use that language," Luke growls. Wes quiets back down.

"I think it's a good idea," Eleanor says, "He deserves to go to jail. And I deserve a good place to live, at least for the next three years until I turn eighteen."

"But couldn't they make you move away?" Ansley asks, "You aren't necessarily going to be adopted by someone who lives in Melbourne. They could be from anywhere, a different country even."

"No," Wes says, grasping Eleanor's hand. I shake my head. "We'll make sure she gets adopted by someone living in Melbourne, and that they are good people."

Wes calms down a little.

"Well, I guess we should call the police and everything," Luke says, "Tell them this whole story."  "Yeah, you guys can go hang out in the screening room or go for a walk or something," I say. They all nod and Liked and I go to our room.

I take out phone.

"Hello?" a voice answers. "Hi, my name is Ellie Hemmings," I say, "Last night, my son found a girl sitting along the street that he is dating, her name is Eleanor Baily. She has been being abused, and I am calling n for a court case against her father."

"Okay, do you have a lawyer?" the woman asks. "Yes, his name is Edward Devion," I reply.

Once all the details are sorted out, we have a court case.

It is three days before Wes' big football game.

Wes' POV

Ansley, Eleanor, and I go outside. I get a football and we all pass it around.

"So, how are you Eleanor?" Ansley asks. She shrugs. "Better now I suppose," she says, "Hopefully my dad gets what he deserves and I get a nice family."

"Are you excited about it all?" I ask. She smiles. "Kind of," she says, "I want to have someone to call mum and dad, not just one person to call Bobby."

"That's good," Ansley says. I can tell that she honestly is unknowing of what to say, this situation is different to her.

For me, this is all the same.

"Wow Ansley, you don't suck at football," I say, chuckling a little. "Yeah, well I learned some things," she says, smiling, "It isn't too hard."

"Oh really?" I ask, raising an eyebrow. "Dayum it's about to go down," Eleanor says, laughing, Ansley laughs also. "Well, obviously I'm not as good as you, but I can play pretty well."

"Nice," I say, "That's cool."

I swear I learn new things about Ansley every day. Her popular group is sucking the life out of her.

I wish she would just hang out with Flannery again, she was great, and much more down to earth than those other girls, especially Haily.

Dear Lord, I can't stand Haily.

"Well, are we going to keep this up or not?" Ansley asks. "What?" I ask. "You've been holding that ball like that for the past two minutes," Eleanor says, laughing to herself.

"Oh, sorry," I reply. I set it down and we start up again, kicking the ball around in a circle.
