Luke's POV

I pull a black, dressy jacket over top of my white, button up, collared shirt.

Ellie walks into the room, dressed in a back, knee length, one strapped dress.

She ties my bow tie for me and nods. "Please stay strong, for the kids," she says, "You know they will do the same for you."

Ansley is still horrified from witnessing my father's death. I haven't talked since he died, I feel like I'm going to cry when I try too.

"I love you Luke," she whispers, kissing me before leaving the room.

I watch her leave.  Everything that is going on today is hard. I lean against the wall and take a short breather.

About thirty minutes later, I hear Ellie yell, "Time to leave!"  I slowly walk downstairs.

Wes, Ansley, Zain, and Ellie all stand there. In all honesty, I feel like shit about Zain going, but when I asked him if he'd rather stay home, he told me that he "felt obligated to go."

So basically, he feels like he's gone through a huge guilt trip.

I walk out the door with them. Ellie drives because I don't want to risk crashing if I have an episode.

Ellie's POV

We walk into the funeral home together. Ansley told me that she is fine now, and she would stay strong for her dad.

Someone starts crying as soon as we see the casket.

That someone is Luke.

I put my arm around him and tell the kids to go with their cousins in the back room. They all do as they are told. I give Luke a hug.

"It's alright babe," I tell him.

It has been a rough few days for Luke and I. Last night was the worst.

We got into a fight over the funeral, it was really petty, but Luke made a huge deal out of it. It was the only time that he had talked since his father passed.

I accidentally ordered blue-green flowers instead of blue ones.

Well, Luke considered them blue-green.

I saw them as blue.

He yelled at me, saying they had to be blue. When I said they were, he really lost his cool.

Long story short, I ended up sleeping on the couch.

"I'm so sorry Luke," I whisper. He doesn't reply with anything.

I didn't think he would.

I walk with him toward the casket and we kneel down in front of it together. He whispers a few words, and I just think to myself.

When he is done, he stands up, but before we can make our way to the family, he does something unexpected.

He kisses his two fingers and lightly touches his dad's cheek with them. That is where I draw the line. Tears start down my face.

He looks at me and shakes his head before giving me a hug. I cry into his chest.

Luke's dad was really a fantastic guy, and I miss him a little. The main reason I cry though is because I cannot imagine what I would do if it happened to Niall.

We don't let go for a while, but then I hear the door open. There stand Niall, Bella, Louis, Liam, Harry, Zayn, and Perrie.

We let go and Luke walks off to the 5SOS boys.

"Oh honey," Perrie says, cleaning up where my makeup ran down my face.

Niall gives me a hug. "Sweetheart, I'm so sorry this all happened to you guys," he says.

I explain to them all the events of the past few days.

"That's terrible," Bella says, shaking her head, "But he's just stressed and upset. Give him time, he'll come around."

"He always does," I reply, nodding.

He always does.

I pray to God that he springs back soon.
