Ellie's POV
Perrie and Zayn come a week later, as they promised. Perrie has one thing in mind for us to do.
"Let's go shopping for maternity clothes!" she exclaims as soon as she walks in the door with Zayn.
"What am I going to do then?" Zayn asks, pouting. "Watch me!" Brian shouts, "I don't wanna go shopping daddy!" "Fine," Zayn says, "But tomorrow, its my turn to have fun with Ellie."
"Alright, that's fair," Perrie says, "Now let's go Ellie!" "Okay, bye Zaynie!" I exclaim before leaving the house.
We get in my car. "I'll drive," she says, "Luke said that he wants to avoid having you drive as much as possible." "He's quite the overprotective boy, isn't he?" I ask, smiling.
"Yeah, but its nice," Perrie says, "If Zayn wasn't like that with me, I'd probably be testing his limits, see how insane he'll let me get, you know?"
I laugh. "I can't even imagine," I tell her. "Don't, it isn't a pretty picture," she tells me, laughing really hard, "Oh boy, that's really somethin'."
"Yeah," I say.
When we arrive at the shops, I am hungry. "Can we get something to eat before we go shopping?" I ask her. "Yeah, I'm pretty hungry myself," she says, smiling.
We swing by a Maccas and pick up some burgers, which we eat in the car before I dig into the console and pull out two wigs and sunglasses. "Yup," she says, shoving one on her head.
We walk into a shop and walk straight back to the maternity section, where I instantly look toward dresses for when I go to England to watch Luke and the boys.
"Get it in a size big, so you'll fit it for the event," Perrie instructs me. "Okay," I say.
So, since I'm having twins, I get two, one size bigger and two sizes bigger. Perrie picks a dress that is more her style, its cute.
My phone rings and its Zayn. "Answer it!" Perrie sings. I click answer.
"Hello?" I say. "Vas happenin' ladies?" he asks. "Zayn, we're just shopping," I tell him. "I know, but I'm bored," he groans. "Take Brian for a walk or something, there's this lovely trail by the house," I tell him.
"How long is it?" he asks. I think about my terrible run/walk with Luke around the house. "Not too long," I lie before hanging up.
"How long is it?" Perrie asks as we walk to the next store. "Probably about seven kilometers," I tell her. She laughs. "He is so going to kill us," she says.
We walk into the store and I find some okay clothes, maternity shopping isn't exactly fun, all the clothes are oddly shaped or fashioned, its hard to find just what you want.
Once we are finally finished, we head home.
As soon as we get in the house, Zayn stomps up to us with Brian at his side. "The walking path is amazing Aunt Ellie!" Brian exclaims, "I saw a squirrel!"
"It was fucking terrible," Zayn says, "I don't think I'll ever be able to walk again."
"How about to our bedroom?" Perrie asks, slyly raising an eyebrow. "You got me," he says, "But it was terrible!"
"Luke and I ran it, you don't know terrible," I tell him, smirking. "Trust me, walking it was bad enough, I feel bad for you guys," he says, "Brian and I have been sitting at home eating ice cream."
"How much of it did you give him?" Perrie asks. "Just a bowl," Zayn says. "This bowl!" Brian exclaims, dancing as he shows us the huge bowl.
"Zayn!" Perrie shouts, laughing. "Okay, I'm an idiot," Zayn says, "We should have had the ice cream before the walk." "That's for sure, now we'll be up all night with him," Perrie says, "Zayn, he's only four."
"And he's a four year old wise ass," Zayn says, patting his back. I laugh. "And you're an older wise ass, I see where he gets it from," Perrie says, laughing.
"Okay okay, I'm tired though," Zayn groans. "I'll stay up with him," I volunteer, "I might as well learn to handle Luke's stupid choices, right?"
"You'd better hope he never makes this mistake," Zayn says. "Oh, he will," I tell Zayn, "Now, goodnight you guys!" "Night!" Perrie exclaims as she walks up the stairs with Luke.
"Aunt Ellie, how did you run that far with Uncle Luke?" Brian asks. "I used to run a lot," I tell him. "I want to run like that, do you think I could?" Brian asks. I smile. "Maybe," I tell him.
"How comes Niall is only six years older than you?" he asks. I look at the confused boy. I guess I would have had to tell him sooner or later.
"I was adopted honey," I tell him. "What does that mean?" he asks. "It means that I didn't have a daddy and mummy like you, so Niall decided to be my daddy," I tell him.
"Why didn't you have a mum and dad?" he asks. "Because...." I start, "Because... my mum died and my daddy wasn't a very good person." Kind of the truth.
He yawns and curls up into my arms. "Was your mummy a good person?" he asks. "Kind of," I tell him. "Was Niall and Bella a good daddy and mummy?" he asks, almost making no sense.
"Yeah, they were really good parents," I tell him, "Niall adopted me, and he met Bella later. She was great."
"Will my mummy and daddy ever be bad like yours?" he asks me.
Tears hit my eyes and one falls gently down my cheek, luckily it is dark. "No honey," I say, "Your mum and dad are good people who love each other and you. I promise they'll be good people."
"Oh," he says, "I'm tired Aunt Ellie." "Then we can sleep," I tell him.
I'm dreading the day I'll have this conversation with my kids.
