Kiba: There's a smell of blood nearby. The smell of the other two impinged on the five others including Sasuke. But the five are moving away from the smell of the blood! What should we do?
Shikamaru: Just as I thought. He has guides.
Naruto: Let's hurry up and pursue Sakuke!
Kiba: Shut up, Naruto! That's for Shikamaru to decide! Don't play the boss!
Choji: Shikamaru?
Shikamaru: The fact that there was the smell of blood probably means, that a battle occurred somewhere. If we go to that location we should be able to gather some information... We must be attentive as we near the location, so we'll switch over to a reconnaissance pattern and approach walking slowly.
Neji: While all that's going on, Sasuke will cross over the Land of Fire border!
Naruto: What are we gonna do, Shikamaru?!
Shikamaru: All right! Let's pursue Sasuke!
Naruto: All right! That's what I was waiting for!
Shikamaru: However...
Caleb: The fact that there was a battle means they'll have their guard up. They'll certainly be aware of the fact that there might be ninja on their tail.
Shikamaru: In other words, the odds are high that there will be traps or an ambush. Listen carefully... Hereafter, I want you to use your visual and acoustic senses to the fullest! We need to locate those guys before we get caught in an ambush! And if we come across anything suspicious, don't just dodge them, interpret them!
Naruto: Alright! When we find them, I'm gonna use my new Jutsu to clobber them!
Kiba: Hey! The enemy's smell is everywhere!
Shikamaru: Everybody! Stop!
We all came to as stop on the same branch.
Shikamaru: Take a careful look above you.
Caleb: Paper Bombs...
Neji: And in five other places too! The figuration is that of a Perimeter Barrier.
Choji: Perimeter Barrier...?
Shikamaru: It's one type of Booby Trap Ninjutsu! Perimeter-type trap have a time lag and are activated when one enters the area that has been marked by the enemy. It's advanced Jutsu... It was in one of the books that my father made me read.
Kiba: Darn!
Caleb: Our only choice is to make a detour.

We where walking through the forest, avoiding trip wires.
Kiba: Damn! Nothing but traps!
Shikamaru: Yeah, but the enemy seems pressed for time. The traps have noticeable flaws...
Caleb: Too noticeable... Huh?! DON'T MOVE A MUSCLE!!!
Everyone froze in place.
Caleb: Look at that wire in front of us.
I pointed to the wire in front of Naruto before he took another step. a second wire was hidden by the first, it was barely visible.
Shikamaru: I see... one of the wires is readily visible because it reflects light. The other wire has been coated with a matte green.
