Chapter 22: Cheer up Ryuko!

Another disclaimer?! Wow! I don't know why, but I just felt like writing one :P I do not own anything yada yada yada, you get the gist of it. I do however keep my claims to Caleb as a character, and shit, you know the drill.

Caleb: Ugh... There isn't a dungeon in a 800 block radius from here... I guess that's a good thing.

I hop from the edge of the sky island and float on my back to another.

Caleb: It's boring with just me here in the Aether... And it's all done! It's... Really a pretty... *sigh*

I open up a portal and fall through. I land in front of Mako's house and knock on the door. Sukuyo answers the door.

Caleb: She still moping?

She nods sadly.

Caleb: *sigh* I'll talk to her.

I walk inside and head to where Ryuko's sleeping.

Ryuko: I'm not hungery... just leave me alone...

Caleb: Jeez, I didn't know you hated me that much.

She suddenly shot up out of her bed and looked at me.

Ryuko: C-Caleb?! I didn't-- I'm sorry I didn't know it was you... I thought you didn't want to see me...

Caleb: Pfft. Me? Not want to see you? That's like saying a mother doesn't want to see her child.

Wow. I just sensed the Irony their... My God, I'm a terrible person.

Ryuko: Th... Thanks... I guess...

I sit down cross-legged next to her.

Caleb: Where's Senketsu?

Ryuko: Mrs Mankanshoku was washing him last time I checked.

Caleb: ... So... You want to talk? That can really help people. A lot of shit can be avoided if people just talked.

Ryuko: Y-Yeah... I guess...

I feel her hug me, and she starts playing with my hair. 

Ryuko: Th... Thank you... You always know just what to do...

...

Hey... Now that I think about it. None of you know what I look like. Well I have soft, messy curly-ish black hair. Light brown skin, not dark, but not white. I have almost black eyes. I mean. They change color a lot, if you can't tell. But I don't see any reason to point it out. Luckily I know what changes happen to my body, because I watched a lot of anime... I should go to a world that isn't anime next... 

RESUME STORY!

Caleb: Well. You just gonna sit there and play with my hair, or are you gonna open up to me?

Ryuko: Oh-uh... Right... Well... Ugh... I don't like any of this emotional crap...

Caleb: Just say what's on your mind, bugging you...

She sigh's and takes in a deep breath.

Ryuko: When... When I found out Nui killed my dad... I just lost it... I wanted to kill her, even if it meant destroying everything... a-and... I know I hurt Senketsu.... Forcing him to eat all that rage filled blood... I'm... Afraid to put him back on...

Caleb: You're afraid of Senketsu?

Ryuko: No... I'm afraid of myself...

Caleb: Hmm....
