I rolled backwards as the ground I was once on exploded, sending dirt and soil everywhere. I peered through the thin smoke and noticed Rias moving fast to her side. I deployed my glove and ran forward. Rias launched a beam at me. I caught it in my hand, spun around, and threw it back at her with more force than she had.
She managed to catch it and made it quickly disappeared. I charged towards her once again. Rias launched multiple attacks at me and my glove began to glow again. I held my hand out and all the attacks deflected on thin air and traveled away from me. My sister created one large fireball and held it above her head. She threw it down at the ground and created a large dust cloud. I dived through the vision barrier and then tapped Rias' shoulder. I created her own attack and held it up to her head. I pointed it up slight and shot it into the sky. "Looks like I won that." I laughed as she frowned. "Maybe next time brother." She smiled at me. "Maybe you could help us during the battle.
"Who wants me to fight them next, it helps my training." At first, nobody responded. "Well if nobody will, I'll take you on. If I'm perfectly honest, it looked like Rias was holding back a bit." Issei spoke as he got up. I looked towards her but she didn't seem to recognise what he had said. "If you want, I won't hold back." He said creating a strange gauntlet. I sighed. "And there I thought I had beaten you." I turned to Rias who was just smiling. "Well I simply didn't want to hurt you."
After a few minutes of talking, me and Issei got to our positions and waited for the battle to start. I summoned my gauntlet and stood opposite Issei. Once it began, Issei instantly crated his amour. "Promote yourself." I heard a recognisable rumble come from my glove. "Promote myself?" Issei started to fly towards me. He tried to punch me but I managed to dive to the left just in time. "Whatever chess piece you feel will greatly help you." I couldn't think of one. "If you want to face him head on, Rook is best for you. If you want to wear him out, Knight is best for you."
"I'll promote myself to Rook." I felt stronger for some reason, like promoting myself changed my attributes. Issei charged up to me and tried to hit me. I managed to catch his fist and I then kicked him in the stomach. He slid back and then promoted himself to knight. "He's using his speed against you, watch out." Before I could respond, he appeared from nowhere and hit me causing me to be thrown backwards the the ground. I shot up and then my glove started to glow. A shield appeared in front of me so I grabbed it out of the air. Issei created a sword and tried to hit me with it. I managed to block it with my shield and then hit it to the floor. I punched Issei and he stepped back. I ran at him and hit him with the edge of my shield. Before it connected, he caught it and snapped it in half. A helmet extended across my face again from my neck. Everything went grey again except from Issei who had a strange red dragon symbol on him.
"You could always copy his sacred gear." I was in shock at this point. "What, so I could use it?" "Precisely, you just need to focus all your energy on his gear and your left hand and then you can copy it, you won't be able to use it forever as it will drain your energy faster." I smiled at the thought of this power. I quickly charged up to Issei as I created another shield. I placed my left hand on his back when I ran past him and used the shield to block any attacks. After a few seconds of Issei struggling, I heard my hand laughing. "He's another dragon." Issei's gauntlet appeared on my hand. "Boost." It called out.
"Impossible." Issei just stood there in shock. Rias along with all the other spectators also seemed to be in shock. "This sacred gear, it allows you to transfer it's built up power to you or someone or something." I looked at my shield for a second. I then watched as Issei quickly appeared in front of me. I put my shield in the way of his attack and then transferred energy to my shield. It increased in side and managed to launch Issei back. The shield then popped, like a bubble and shattered into small pieces. I held my hand out but rather than summoning a shield, my gear from Issei seemed to summon a large sword. I grabbed it from the air. "You have a dragon slaying sword. This is a problem." Issei created the exact same sword and charged at me.
I managed to block his attack with my sword and then swung it at Issei. I managed to cut his armour slightly yet inflicted major damage to Issei. "Ddraig, I'm going to need your help here." Issei created a glowing red aura around him and his armour seemed to transform. He ran up to me and held the sword up high. He swung it down and I managed to avoid it. "You can't survive one slice from that sword unprotected." My gear tried to lecture me. "Can't I create armour then?" "Yeah but it's dangerous." I looked at my glove and then at my gauntlet. "Can I mix the power from the gauntlet to you?"
"Try it if you want." The gauntlet had been creating extra energy. "Transfer to my glove." I felt my left hand get stronger as well as the glove. "Now, I need that armour." I spoke as Issei took one last attack attempt but from my side. Large black and purple armour extended down my body from my neck giving me extra protection. The sword still cut me. Issei launched himself backwards as I fell forward. I looked up from the cold and uncomfortable floor. I tried to pull myself up multiple pains shot through my side. "Why does this hurt so much?" "Because I'm part dragon, it's going to hurt you to be hit by a dragon slaying sword."
"A dragon?" All my armour along with my glove and gauntlet disappeared. I had lost.
