The battlefield had quietened down as laughter sounded from a portal floating high above the sky, even the beast had been bought to a halt. Hesitantly, I stared up at the sky, watching as a man slowly appeared from it. At that moment, an overwhelming feeling overcame me, like I could feel their powerful aura even though I was a large distance from them. It caused me to freeze in place, and I wasn't sure if it was due to fear or not. "This is some commotion isn't it?" The man spoke as he slowly floated down from the portal, and I glanced towards everyone else who was here. They all shared hostile looks, which made me think this was the enemy. "Who are you? Tell me!" I called out to the man, and his gaze being set upon me increased this feeling I had, I could tell just how powerful he was. "I should be asking you the same thing, how is someone I've never seen before keeping up with my creation?" They asked confused as I chuckled. "The name is Yuki Gremory, I'm not surprised if you haven't heard of me, after all it has been a few years since I was last seen!" I called out. "Now I've answered with my name, tell me yours." I continued bluntly as my blade began to return to its normal size in my grasp.

"Oh I've heard of you alright. But I can say now that you don't resemble the name you once had." The man spoke as he slowly began to glide towards me. "I assume this means I'll be fighting you, so be prepared." They spoke out to me, holding their fist up at me. "I don't need preparation." I muttered as a smirk appeared across my face.

In that moment, you could feel how tense everyone was, and the smirk I showed was simply covering the fear I felt. I was being dumb, and I knew that, after all he seemed much stronger than me. That wasn't going to stop me though, I could understand how everyone else was feeling so I was putting on a brave front to comfort them. I remained floating in place, watching the man come closer to me as I waited for him to make his first move. In a single moment, he vanished from my vision, reappearing to the side of me. He raised his fist and before I could react, punched me, throwing me to the ground at immense speeds. I coughed up blood as pain shot through my back, quickly sliding to a halt. I climbed up to my feet and he reappeared in front of me, trying to punch me in the stomach. I placed my hands in the way yet the force of him striking my wrist ended up in my still being hit in the lower chest.

I slid backwards, managing to stay on my feet even though there was that much strength behind his punches. His speed was also unfathomable, I could barely keep up with watching his movements, let alone have time to react and fight back. "Promotion to knight!" I called out as I took a deep breath. I launched myself to the side, circling around him using my wings to keep me off the floor. Promoting myself had caused my speed to increase massively, and I chose what I thought was the exact moment to attack him. I flew from his left side, heading right for him. I swung my blade at him, only to notice he was still glaring at me, even though he hadn't moved at all. He jumped into the air, causing me to miss. Pain shot through the back of my neck as his foot slammed down on me, crushing me into the floor.

"Yuki! Stop fighting already." A familiar voice spoke out from the crowds as the man began to walk away from me. I tightened my fists as I punched the floor out of frustration. "I can't... who else will fight him?" I muttered as I slowly attempted to stand up. "What's this? You're still not done? You're pretty sturdy aren't you?" The man spoke as he turned around, walking back over towards me. He stopped right in front of me and kneeled down, clutching the front of my hair. Painfully, he pulled my head up, beginning to punch me in the face multiple times. "Are you done yet?" He mockingly asked after every single punch that struck me, and I quickly began to feel like I was losing consciousness. "Sword...stream." I muttered as I slowly raised my sword towards him, tapping it against his side. Cuts shot up his left hip, tearing through his shirt as it slowly climbed up to his shoulder. Quickly, he let go of me and jumped backward whilst grasping his arm, causing my face to slam into the floor.

As I slowly peered up, I noticed a trail of blood coming from his arm as he frowned. "You actually got me?" He asked shocked as I smiled. "I guess this is what happens when I've been out of battling for a few years, right?" I slowly began to stand up, remaining hunched over as I dropped my sword to the floor. "But this time, I swear I won't make the same mistake I did last time. I know my limits, and I know the risks. I'm not foolish enough to sacrifice myself again... because I know I can win!" I called out, breaking into a sprint as I felt a slight boost in energy, like my adrenaline was kicking in. The man stepped backwards and raised his hand towards me, a magic circle appearing on his palm. Large flames shot out from his hand, and I quickly jumped to the side. I was moving faster than I had before, and felt like I was properly able to keep up with him now.

The man struggled to track my movements so he span around, blocking me off from him by creating a massive wall of flames. I stopped to catch my breath and think for a second as to how I could force him out of the flames, and remembered an old spell I would use. A circle appeared on my palm and I slammed it into the ground, causing it to create a portal below my hand. I stood up, and watched as chains began to shoot out from the hole, wrapping around the outside of the flames. "This might work." I muttered to myself as I waited for it to wrap around multiple times. "Tighten!" I called as the chains tore through the flames, closing in on the centre of the flames. The chains had completely tightened and started to retract, only to leave through the portal, showing my I hadn't got him. I also couldn't see him anymore in the flames, which had confused me.

I looked around, there were no signs of him. I shut my eyes and focused on my aura, extending it out as far as I could. If I could reach his aura with my own, I would be able to tell where he was. I slowly began to circle the flames until I realised where he was, smiling to myself. "Charged shot!" I called out as a sphere of energy appeared in my hands. It slowly began to increase in size, and then I noticed the feeling of the man seemed to be getting stronger. At that moment, the flames parted ways, and the man came flying right at me.

"Release!" I called out, causing the sphere to turn into a beam which completely engulfed the man, as well as throwing me backwards from the force behind it. I landed on the ground and stared towards where the man was, the magic had struck him and I assume it tore him apart to the point of no remains. However, there was still one problem. The beast which had only stopped because of the man appearing.
