Discovery

(Takashi's POV)

It was just your average day, I was at school, failing to pay attention to the class. Time seemed to be shooting past, and and hour felt like a few minuets of talking to Issei. I'm kinda new to Kuoh Academy, I moved here recently and the first person I met was Issei, who lives next door. He lives with a lot of girls, too many to be bothered to count, as well as 2 boys, but I don't really find myself able to talk to them; I just feel like I can only talk to Issei. Now he is a bit strange, I'm not saying it's bad, it's just like he's a complete opposite of me. And just like that, I was lost in thought staring out the window.

Lesson ended, along with the school day itself. Ever since I moved to across the road, I now seem to walk home with the group of them, I guess it brings us all a bit closer but I still feel awkward entering their circle of friends. I waited for them outside of school, and they eventually walked out the building. I peered up at them as they stepped towards me. "Ready?" I asked Issei. "Yeah, we're heading home now." He responded as he swung his bag onto his back.

If I recall, nothing special was happening earlier, there were no nearby activities going on that might draw people out. We had turned into an alleyway which lead almost to home, just a bit down the street leading into the road we live in, but surprisingly, it was like we were going in circles.

"I swear we have passed that sign like 3 times." I spoke as I peered around. "This is getting strange, we've been walking in a straight line. Haven't we?" Issei asked Rias, but we eventually came to a halt, dead in the alleyway.
"We have, And someone's here, everyone hide." Rias commanded as everyone separated, half of us on one side hidden, with the other half on the opposite side of the alleyway.

"Come on, I've already seen you, all I want is to meet the Red Dragon Emperor."

Issei instantly reacted in shock, and I looked towards him. "What does she mean?" I asked Issei and he shrugged. "I'm not sure, but if I were you, I'd leave through that turning just behind us." I peered towards where we came from, a turning about 2 meters away from us. I nodded and began to slowly make my way over to the exit. I turned and noticed Issei wasn't coming. "Come on." I told him as I signalled for him to move this way. "Leave, while you still can." I frowned. "No." I whispered as I spotted the woman moving closer, also brandishing a large golden spear. "I'll feel guilty otherwise. Please just leave while you still can." He spoke quietly and I rolled my eyes. "Fine."

I quickly turned the corner without the woman realising, but hid around it in the shadows, I wanted to watch what was happening just in case I could help out. Every few seconds, I would peer around the corner.

"What do you want?" Rias asked as she stood up. The girl looked at her. "I thought it was you, why'd you have to hide yourself?" The woman asked as he stepped closer. "Because, there was a human with us." The woman laughed. "Good, I'm glad you're working hard enough for them to not know about us, yet." Issei and everyone else stood up. "Who are you?" Issei called out as he pointed at the girl. "My name is Megumi, a high ranking fallen angel. I have orders to take out an Issei, also known as the Red Dragon Emperor."

I stood there in shock, unable to react to what I had heard. Issei held his hand up, revealing a gauntlet which extended a quarter the way up his arm. He was then covered in armour as Rias launched a red beam at the girl. Megumi blocked it with her palm, leaving her unharmed. Issei charged at her and created a large sword, which he swung as if really light. The girl blocked it by grabbing it and launched him back. I turned away from everything, frightened at what I'd seen. I ran off, unable to stay and watch what happened.
