The Forgotten Dragon - Highschool DxD FanFiction

IV - 2 - Overrun

I created multiple circles and then a shield between ,e and the attack as I charged in front of Xenovia. The attack shot through the circles, but became weaker each time. It then slammed against the shield and began to push it towards me. Issei jumped down, instantly creating his balance breaker. He created an orb of energy and shot it at the dragon. It exploded upon impact and launched him back. The shield shattered as the attack stopped coming. What was left of it collided with me and threw me backwards. I slid backwards, unable to stop until I hit a tree behind me. I pushed myself up, and caused the sword to disappear. I created a bow and pulled the string back. I then shot out 4 arrows, and then fired another 4. They each shot at the dragon, and each exploded on impact. It dived down towards be and began to breath a strange golden flame. It launched the flames at me. I shot multiple arrows into the centre and they exploded. I launched up at the flames as they separated from the explosion. I slipped through the middle and created a shield as the flames grew closer. I put away my bow and pulled out Kusanagi. The flames began to wrap around my shield and behind me. I then collided the shield into the dragon's face. I then chanted a spell which caused soul chains to wrap around it's mouth and close it.

I launched back at the dragon and landed above it's nose. I dug my sword right between it's eyes and began to pull it down. A large cut followed behind my sword until I stopped pulling. The dragon then crashed into the ground and caused me to be thrown into the trees just ahead. It got back up and began to spit flames through the trees. I hid behind a tree as flames wrapped around me. They stopped coming, so I created my pistol and took a shot at the dragon. It didn't even seem to phase him. I frowned. "What is this?" The dragon then charged at the tree line. I charged between the trees as the ones behind me fell to the ground as the dragon rammed through them. I then took a left turn and hid behind another tree. It ran past, but it's tail slammed against the tree and cut it in half. It's tail then launched me into the open. The dragon tried to eat me, but I put a shield in the way. It instead latched it's teeth onto the sides and pulled it away from me. I then threw my sword at it, but it bounced off. It began to create an attack of flames, but Issei launched another beam which hit it in the temple.

I then watched as he used the cannons on his back to attack the dragon. Both attacks caused it to stumble back slightly. Flames then extended up the dragon's shoulders and into the air. They then formed another 2 heads, which then revealed it to be a Hydra. I stepped back as it pointed one of it's heads at me. It spat fires at me, but these weren't as powerful. "Diffuse." I called as I poked the attack. I ran through the flames as they disappeared and at the dragon. "Issei! We need to focus our attacks on it's main neck." I called out to him and he nodded at me. He created his dragon slaying sword and charged at the beast. It continued to spit flames everywhere until the small forest caught on fire. I went to run as the flames surrounded me, but the hydra spat flames on me. My clothes began to burn off, with my skin burning. I managed to put out the flames, but most of my shirt was gone. I took the rest of the shirt off and tightened my holster. "You like to play with fire, huh?" I called out to the hydra. I then ran my thumb along the blade of my sword, it instantly ignited in black and green flames. I pulled my sword up in front of me and charged at it.

"Yuki!" I stopped and turned, it was Kana. I turned back to the hydra, it slammed it's tail against me. I caught it in my hands and sliced through it. The hydra roared and began to charge away. Issei ran in front of it and grabbed it. The dragon tried to take off but couldn't. I ran up to it and jumped onto it's back. I stabbed into it multiple times and made a large slit across its left wing. It stumbled to the ground and Issei pierced it with his dragon slaying sword. He sliced through the dragon and then aimed his sword at it's head. He bought it down, blood splashed everywhere. I then headed over to Kana. "What's wrong?" She peered back towards Luke. "They can't stop him." I nodded and signalled for Issei to head over there. "We'll go help them." I walked past her and towards the fight, but stopped as the area they were fighting at exploded. Light riddled the area along with fire and smoke as it engulfed everyone. I blocked the fire from getting towards my eyes and gritted my teeth in pain. Kana was using her ring to heal herself so I began to trudge my way towards where everyone else was. I created my glove and instantly began to create an armour to protect me from the flames. They eventually stopped pushing towards everyone, but a lot of the area ignited in flames. I ran towards the fight, where I could see Xenovia on the ground. Luke was stepping towards her. My demon wings finally appeared again, and extended from my back. I shot forward using them.
