8 - Revival

I slowly rolled over in pain and looked around. The dragon had now landed and was looking down at Yuki. I sat up and pushed myself off the ground. Rias and Akeno seemed to have captured Nova and the cloaked man. I stepped up to them and remade my sword. I held it up to the cloaked man's neck. "Tell me, can we get them back." He only laughed. "You think I would tell you." I swung the sword down at his hand and watched it detach from his arm and fall on the floor. The book also fell along with it and I picked it up.

"No!" He tried to get up but was zapped by Akeno. I flicked through the pages as I stepped over to the 2 of them. "I hate how calm everyone is." I heard Draco mutter. "Hey, I am upset that he's gone." I stepped up to the altar and flicked to the contents page. I flicked to another page and chanted a spell which undone any Soulchains, whatever they are. I watched as Yuma fell forward and caught her before she hit the ground. I laid her down gently and looked towards Draco, speaking quite slowly. "Can you turn back into the glove?" Which he willingly did. I then went to the context page, looking for anything which read 'revive'. I then came across one, and chanted the spell for Soulequip. I moved his glove closer towards him and they both began to glow. Rias rushed over.

"What are you doing?" The glove seemed to make it's way onto Yuki's hand and stopped glowing. It disappeared and I sighed. "We got his gear back." I said as I flicked back to the contents one last chance. "Soulrevive." I read to myself as I flicked to the right page. I changed the spell and an orb moved from the book towards Yuki. It entered him yet nothing happened. I stepped over to him and opened his eyes. "Is he even dead?" I closed them again. "I don't honestly know." She seemed to not be phased by this but she really was, I could tell she was masking the pain.

"I say we take them back to the house with us and get Asia to try and heal him, and then let him deal with them." Akeno nodded as she created binding circles on the both of them. I handed Rias the book and picked Yuki up half way. I dragged him over to everyone else and laid him down on top of the portal. I then went and got Yuma. We were all transported to the house and this time, we had to make sure we weren't caught by our family. We rushed him over to his room and put the other 3 in his room as well. I went and got Asia and told her we needed her to heal Yuki. She agreed.

I left the room along with Akeno and Rias who was holding the 2 people. Yuma followed out after, she seemed perfectly fine. I frowned in anger. Asia was left alone to heal Yuki, and within a few seconds, a bright green light shot through under the door.

<Yuki's POV>

I slowly opened my eyes, I was back in my bed with Asia healing my hand which had the glove. I looked towards her and she smiled. "You had us worried." She smiled and got up. "You'll need to rest for a while." As she left, I sighed. It was a bad move on my behalf and I had probably annoyed Rias. "I nearly lost you, that was stupid." I looked at my hand. "I'm sorry."

The door swung open and Rias walked in with Issei, followed by Yuma and the 2 captives. I looked at Yuma who seemed to be far too happy. I then looked at Nova. "Why are they here?" I laid my head back down. "So you can do the honours." I looked towards Nova and he was smiling. "Go on 'son', kill me." He seemed too happy, like he was testing my will. "Who's the aquatint?" I signalled towards the cloaked man. "You don't recognise my voice?" Rias pulled his hood down and I instantly looked away. "Of course it would be you." Rias looked back at me. "We should just end it for these 3, are you going to do the honours or am I?" Rias asked as Yuma became confused. "What are you on about, ending?" My father smiled and looked towards Yuma. I looked at her and her eyes instantly changed.

"If you wish." Yuma said correcting herself. I looked towards my father as he looked back at me. "You, You did something to her, just then." Rias looked at me confused. "She's, brainwashed?" I spoke gritting my teeth. "Of course, you really think your friend would deliberately try to assassinate you." He laughed as if I were stupid. I sat up and turned to face him. I tried to stand up but had a pain shoot through my leg. I pushed myself up and looked down at him. "Why?" He looked me directly in the eyes and my mind went blank, I couldn't think straight.

Everything started to swirl around me. "Come on, join us." I heard laughing voiced inside my head. A sharp pain went through my temples so I placed my hands on them. "Why not?" I looked up at Rias who ran over to me. She said something but I couldn't hear her, instead I seemed to look back at Nova. "Join me, please." I tried to force myself to look away but I couldn't. "Please? I'm your father and I miss you." He smiled at me as I looked towards Rias. A large screeching noise filled my ears and mind. Issei quickly rushed in and created his sword. He held it up to Nova's throat and spoke to him.

He continued to stare at me, and then my hand began to move on it's own. It moved into mimicry form and seemed to copy Issei's sword. It stuck halfway out of my gear and I started to move the blade to my neck. I tried to stop myself but I couldn't. Yuma created a light spear out of nowhere and stabbed him straight through the skull with it. Nova fell forward and all the noises as well as pain died down. "Yuki, why?" I took my hands away from my head. "Be ok?" I looked towards Rias and nodded. I didn't hear the beginning but I knew what she meant. I took deep breaths as I looked towards Yuma. The sword disappeared and I changed my gear. "Almost." My brother laughed. I stepped over to him and grabbed him by the throat. I tightened my grip constantly until he smiled. "Is this what you really wanted?" I let go of him and he fell to the floor, panting constantly. "Why did you stop?" Rias questioned.

"I can't do it." I looked towards Issei as he held a sword up. I nodded as I spoke. "Brother, I'm sorry it had to end like this, I really am but you deserve this. Along with father." I looked towards his body and Issei stabbed him. "Yuki, Yuma?" I closed my eyes as his body fell to the ground next to Nova. "Well, that's 2 of the 3." Issei spoke as he turned to Yuma. "I don't think that's necessary yet, she seemed to be under a spell or a brainwash, or at lease what I could tell. I don't think we should act until we have proof." I looked towards Rias who nodded. "If that's honestly what you want, but you will have to keep a close eye on here, after all, it's your idea."

I nodded, "if it's what you want." I looked towards the 2 bodies on my floor and felt my heart sink. "I always hoped there was some sanity left in them." Rias hugged me. "You don't have to worry about those 2 anymore." I smiled. "I guess."
