The Fallen, Fallen Angel

The sound of a crunch alerted me of movement in the trees. I turned towards the trees, at first there was nothing. I turned my vision to greyscale, revealing something staring back at me. It seemed to be hiding in the shadows, a strange wolf with one eye in he centre of it's face, with sharp fangs which hung low from it's mouth. "Hey Issei!" I caught his attention. "Come here quickly." He walked over to me and peered into the tree line. "What's up?" He asked me as he looked around. "Not to alarm you, but something is watching us." I whispered as I looked away from the creature. I put my hands behind my back and created a large revolver.

"Some sort of wolf with one eye, it's hiding in the shadow of one of the trees." Issei laughed. "I don't see anything." I peered back at the wolf, it was growling right at me, but also had a circle on it's neck. I quickly drew my gun and loaded it, and within a second, fired all 6 rounds at the creature.

All the birds took off and left, the sound rattling through the trees. I peered back at the creature's location, it was gone. Something felt off though, I continued to look around us. "Why do I feel like someone's watching us?" I asked as Issei turned away from me. He created his sacred gear. "Same." He spoke quietly. I created my glove, and watched as the orb began to glow. I placed my hand on the orb and began to move energy into it. The orb stopped glowing, I turned my hand into a fist and stuck out my arm. I began to turn, until it began to glow, causing me to stop.

"Mimic Explosion!" I called as I created a sphere. I punched it, causing it to turn to a beam which tore through the trees. A shadowed figure launched into the air, launching spears of light down at us. "Darkened Screen!" I stuck my hand up and created a circular shield which caused the spears to shatter on impact. "Who's there?" I asked as he man landed ahead of us, I angled the shield down as he smiled at us. "Call me Kyo." He called forth as he created a glowing light. "Right Kyo, what's your business?" I asked him as he began to step towards me. "I could ask you the same, fallen angel scum. Except, to see you team with a devil is a shock to me." He laughed to himself.

"You can tell I'm fallen angel?" I asked him, which caused him to nod. "Well why're you here otherwise? To hunt me down is the only reason I know." I looked at him confused. "You were the ones hunting me, don't act like I'm after you." He repeated, and I noticed a light spear launched towards his back. "Overdrive!" My dragon called as I charged forward, surrounded by a bulky version of my balance breaker. I shot past Kyo before he could react and headed in front of the attack. I stuck my hands up quickly and tried to grab the spear. Crimson shot through the sky, I froze in place, unable to move. I glance down, and then back at the fallen angel, overtaken by shock.

I stumbled forward, blood splashing onto the floor. The spear, swinging slightly back and forth due to it sticking out my chest. I grabbed ahold of the spear and winced. I gritted my teeth and smiled as I tugged the spear from my chest. "Don't think I'm done that easily." I watched as more fallen angels appeared and turned towards Kyo. "Stay back, both of you." I then looked at Issei. "Transfer." His gear called out as I felt myself getting stronger. "If you can charge me up, I'll create one big attack." He nodded and I created a shield of shadows. I took a few steps forward, summoning a massive sword at my side. I picked it up and peered towards the sky. "Who wants to fight first?" I called out, only to be met with multiple spears. I blocked the first few with my sword and then swapped to my shield.

"I'll take that as a no." I spoke to myself as I surrounded myself with strange black orbs. A fallen charged at me and tried to stab me with their spear. I blocked it with my shield and knocked them back, and using my sword, cut them in their hip. 2 more charged at me, I spun the sword in my hand and stuck it into the ground. "Twisted barrier!" I spoke as multiple lights emerged from the ground, consisting of: crimson, violet, gold, cyan and black. I peered through the light and watched the fallen angels stop in their tracks as the light drew closer to them. It spiked through them, taking down those 2. "Transfer." Issei's gear transferred more energy. "Not there yet." I spoke quietly to myself. I blocked one last spear, charging forward towards the rest. "Transfer." I grew strong enough to create a combo attack. I held my hand up, de-summoning my shield.

"Magic missile!" I called as a red beam shot into the sky. "Holy scabbard!" I threw my sword through the air, it surrounded itself in a golden light and sped up. It struck the attack, causing it to explode into loads of smaller beams. "Hellfire rain." Multiple circles appeared on the ground behind me as I stuck my hands towards the fallen angels. The circles shot out large beams which moved towards the rest of the attack. "Explosion!" I called as I began to create a sphere in my hand. The large amount of falling beams began to lock onto the fallen angels as the rest tore through the trees.

The sphere lurched forward and caused every last enemy to disappear in the light. The whole area engulfed in clouds of smoke and large shockwaves. I slid back slightly due to the force of the attack, but stopped myself quickly. "That's a bit overboard, surely." Issei spoke as he stepped towards me. "That might just win us that rating game." I nodded and created a new broadsword. I spun it around and placed it against Kyo's neck. "Now talk." I spoke as I turned to face Kyo. "We're not done yet!"
