II - 9 - Kusanagi

A bullet tore through the air, climbing its way right towards me. I noticed it out of the corner of my eyes last second and caught it between my fingers. I peered at it for a second and then turned my attention to the source of the gunshot. It was a blond girl, covered in black battle armour, holding a pistol and a sword. She was smiling with a wicked look on her face. I quickly created a pistol and pointed it towards her. In my mind, I imagined a swift red line, moving at the same path as the bullet trail. I then pointed it at the girl as she fired again. I shot once, then followed up with another 2 shots on the same path. The first bullet collided with hers. The second then launched all 3 bullets back at the girl. A third bullet tore through the centre of the bullets and got her in the neck.

Blood shot down her armour like crimson cracks. I then launched myself at her, and changed my pistol to my sword which was on my arm. I then pointed the blade at the girl and stabbed it right into her armour. A circle surrounded the blade and it began to drag itself out. I tried with all my might to push it back in but couldn't. The blade then shattered, and the girl then pointed her gun at my stomach. She took a shot, and it tore through my armour and flesh. I stumbled back and let go of my sword. I threw a punch at her and she avoided it. She grabbed my wrist and shot multiple bullets down my arm. I screamed and she kicked me backwards. She launched backwards as a golden light fell from the sky. It surrounded me and slightly further as it began to heal me. I jumped up when I noticed something falling from the sky. It was heading to right in front of me, light shining off the bottom of it.

The object then landed in front of me, along with a strange voice. He dust disappeared, but I couldn't really understand what was going on. There was a sword, golden and covered in majestic white carvings, with a cover over the blade. The voice then became clearer. "Yuki, this is a present to you, from everyone above. Take it, the mythical sword Kusanagi and fight for Kuoh." I looked up towards the sky as the golden light slowly faded along with my injuries. I stepped up to the sword, placing my hands on the handle. The sword was embedded slightly into the ground, with large cracks extending along the floor. I pulled upwards and took it out from the ground. It was quite light once it was taken out, large but somehow light. The blond girl looked at me frustrated. "They're helping you? And giving you Kusanagi?" She shouted both angrily and confused. "I was sent to kill you, by them." I looked at her confused. "You're an angel?" I asked her. She looked at me angrily and charged at me with her sword. I took the sword out of the cover, power instantly flowed through my body. I blocked her sword using mine, and the blade completely sliced in half. I then stabbed the girl straight in the stomach.

3 circles surrounded the blade, and began to push the blade forward right through her armour. She screamed as the handle reached her armour; the whole blade through her. I then pulled it out of her, and it left a circle on her stomach. It then pap based through her armour and disappeared. She placed her hand over her stomach and fell backwards. She extended her arm into the sky, and then closed her eyes. Her screaming became silence as her arm fell to the ground. I placed the cover back on the sword, and felt myself grow weaker; whilst also looping the strap on the cover over my shoulder. The sword stayed perfectly in position on the right side of my back.

"As if the angels would give somebody like us a mythical sword. I thought it had been shattered, but here it is." My dragon laughed. "What's the joke?" "The light dragon bearer once used this sword against me, but now I have it, after I thought I shattered it. Unless the angels fixed it up." I peered back at the sword. "Is it very important?" He then kept quite for a second. "Due to us being the last to touch the sword, if somebody opens the cover, your dragon powers will instantly be activated, meaning that you have to look after it no matter what." I peered back at the sword, "so this is a dragon sword?" I didn't get a response. I turned my attention towards the battle. I created my dragon wings and took off, heading towards the 2nd last fortress.

I eventually caught up to everyone else, who were taking down the fortresses. I flew over to Rias. "Should I head over towards the one saved for last?" She shook her head. "We don't know what's in that one, it seems to be their strongest one so we'll face it together." I nodded and pulled out my sword. An attack span right at us, I flew in the way and angled the blade so it would slice right through it. The attack cut in half and curved around us, narrowly cutting my clothes. The light was quite blinding. "Yuki? Why would you do that?" The attack ended. "Because, I'd rather risk my life, I've got less to lose while you own a whole club." Rias smiled at me and I peered back towards the fortress. I launched myself at it, while also completing a slicing action with my sword. It created an almost invisible attack which acted as a slice of the sword. It then began to cut through the metal work until it stopped. I flew down towards the first leg and sliced through it. The fortress stood up for a second until I pushed the leg out from under it. I flew away as it landed on the ground with a small explosion.

Rias signalled me to follow everyone to the last fortress. I followed her until we all stopped. I then spotted the girl I had fought before, the one with the rift sword. I looked towards everyone who was talking and charged at her. "Yuki?" Rias shouted after me but stopped when she saw who I was going for. I then pointed my sword at her, whilst also extending it out. The girl created a rift and I managed to stop myself in time. It began to pull me in as it grew larger. I was dragged right up to it but I managed to cut through it with my Kusanagi. It seemed to grow smaller, both pieces in fact until it completely disappeared. I then sliced towards the girl. She blocked my sword and created a rift. She then stuck her sword with it, the blade came through another rift behind me and stabbed right into the top of my spine. "Got you." She smiled as she began to create a rift on the blade. I pulled myself off the blade and went right through the rift, punching through it and into the girl.

I then slid myself back as I swung my sword. I cut through her armour and small amounts of blood dripped down. I then created a circle on her chest plate and it completely shattered. I then tried to cut her again but she stumbled back. Instead, I sliced through her clothes and slightly grazed her. Her top then seemed to cut open, and I looked away for a second. "Hey you perv." She then stepped back, holding her sword up slightly. She then sliced at my side while I was looking away. I stepped back and smiled at her. "Here I was, trying to prove I'm not a perv and here you are, attacking me. Oh well." I sighed as I charged at her, stabbing right into her stomach. I created multiple circles which then pushed the blade through her. As I pulled it out, one last circle was created leaving a small cut on her shaped as a dragon symbol. She fell forward towards me and I caught her. I took the rift sword off her and laid her on the ground.
