I placed a candle on the low table ahead of me and sat down. Placing my fingers on the candle, I lit it on fire and stared at the black and green flames. I peered down at the flames and then at the floor, closing my eyes. I tried to not think about what had happened, about anything; just keep my head blank. I began meditating, and time shot by, a few minuets somehow turned to an hour, and I was none the wiser. I eventually ended my meditation, and blew the candle out. I stepped out the room and looked at the clock.

"Koneko? You here." I asked whilst walking from room to room, until I eventually found her outside waiting for me. "You finally showed up?" Koneko asked me as she peered towards me. "Yeah, I just lost track of time." She laughed. "Doing what? You're trapped inside." I smiled. "I was just meditating. That's all." She nodded. "Well, What do you want to start with?" I shrugged. "I don't mind." I created my glove and stared at her. "Let's get this started." Koneko spoke, turning her walk towards me into a spring. I stood my ground and waited for her to throw a punch. She went right for my stomach, I stumbled back and narrowly evaded her fist.

I launched a punch at her but she caught my fist, throwing me backwards. I He,d my hand forward. "Promotion to knight." I called as I felt myself grow stronger. I charged at her, and swung at her before she could react. She stepped back, but launched a punch right at me. I blocked it by creating a small circle right where she was about to strike. "So were using magic?" I smiled. "Thought so." I spoke as she created a blue flame. She launched it at me, and I blocked it with my glove. I created a sphere in my hand and charged at her. I punched her in the shoulder, causing the sphere to explode on itself. She was launched backwards to the ground as I slid back. I moved my head around, attempting to crack my neck, only to spot Rias looking right at me. I instantly looked away and back at Koneko.

Koneko charged at me, and I noticed her ears come out. She punched my, launching me back again. She shot right in front of me and continued to punch me, and then hit me with one last strong attack. I was launched backwards and into the wall. I groaned as I stood up, staring at her. "Fair play, I didn't expect that." She smiled. "Aim for the centre of someone, like the core of their mass." Koneko spoke as she tried to punch me. I launched myself past her, using the wall as I springboard. I struck her back, causing her to stumble forward. "That's what I was waiting for." I smiled as I stepped back, she began to put on her gloves. "Oh, that's gonna be a problem." She laughed as she charged at me, launching flames towards me. I created a circle in my palm. "Deflect." I called as the flames launched off my circle and back at her.

The flames collided with her, launching her back. I created a sword made of fog and smoke, which surprisingly had some weight in it. I held it u and swung it at Koneko. She stepped back, evading the blade. She kicked me back and launched flames at me. I created an X in my arms to block the attacks, which worked slightly. I slid back and created a beam. "Pierce." The thin beam shot through her chest, but created no damage, just drained her energy. A circle appeared on her chest, which continued to drain her energy, releasing it out into the open air. I charged at her, causing my fist to glow golden. I swung my arm towards her, striking her in the stomach. She stumbled back, and fell backwards.

I quickly shot over to her, so fast it looked as if I could've teleported and caught her from falling by placing my arm under her back. She fell into my arm and looked up at me, laughing to herself. "You did a number to me." I smiled. "None of it were physical, all I did was drain your energy." She smiled. "Thanks for that, I don't really have any attacks like that." I carried her towards the house. "I can walk." She moaned and I laughed. "Is that why you fell backwards? And I had to catch you." I stepped through the doors, holding her in my arms. I placed her down on one of the sofas in the lounge and sat on another. I grabbed one of the candles and placed it on the table. I lit it with my black and green flames again and repeated what I did before. I placed my hand above the flame and closed my eyes.

I waited for a small amount of time and then focused all my energy on the flame. I tried to keep my mind blank, but once again, I was struggling. The point of this training was to pour energy into the flame and control it, but without a clear mind, it were impossible. All I could think about was the dream, which was slowly eating away at my mind. I gritted my teeth and forced myself to think about something else, which ended up being the flame. I imagined the energy around the flame and me moving it up to my hand. I felt warmth touch against my palm so I opened my eyes, and that's when I noticed the flames extending up till they were touching my hand.

Rias stepped into the room, so I caused the flames to go out completely. "I saw you training outside, even though you're supposed to be in rehab." I frowned. "It wasn't for me." Rias sighed. "You still shouldn't. You need to relax and allow your body to fully heal." I stood up. "I don't need to hear from you telling me about what I can and can't do, I can be self-reliable, responsible too." I walked towards the door once I noticed Koneko was asleep. "What, you're just leaving." I nodded, agreeing with Rias' statement. "Ok, I'm ordering you to stay and rest." I smiled to myself. "I'll take orders from someone who can trust me, and think of me as part of the team."
