Walkers..

Clem's POV

Clem and Aj have been walking with James for a while still trying to find out where he is taking them.

"Hold up." James said as he picks up a rock.

There was a walker and Clem had thought about killing it but let's James do whatever.

He throws the rock and the walker walks towards the noise it made.

"Lets go, just a little further." James continued as Clem and Aj follow.

As they walked further James tells them to stop and Clem and Aj see a small barn and hear noise inside but not sure what it is.

Aj sees something on the ground and takes a look.

"What is this?" Aj asked looking confused.

"Oh that... it's called a salt lick." Clem answered.

"Whatever you do Aj, don't lick it because it taste horrible."

Aj turns facing Clem feeling curious.

"How do you know? Did you lick it?" AJ asks.

"I don't know" Clem says looking back at the salt lick.

Aj continues to look at it still tempting to lick it.

Clem walks towards James still hearing the noise inside.

"My people... well former people." James said as he continues.

"They had a practice... they called it collecting." James says as he opens the door slowly.

Clem and Aj look in and couldn't believe what they saw.

There were at least more than 20 walkers in the small barn!

"My people used them as a weapon, but I did this to protect them." James said as he shuts the door.

"It may sound strange but that is why I brought you both here to see them as people like I do."

"People?" Clem asks.

"Well not as people people, something in between like part of us is still in there." James answers.

"You can't prove that James, walkers having souls?" Clem asks seeming confused.

"I know it's strange."

"But do you really think there are people inside the monsters?" Aj asks.

"Yes... somewhere." James answers

"Think of it this way... has someone you cared about so much turn?" He asks.

Clem already looks up thinking of the first person that came to her head. Lee...

"Clems friend... Lee, she shot him before he turned so he didn't suffer." Aj answers

"Oh.. I'm sorry, maybe this isn't the best way to explain it, it's just I lived among walkers for years, when they are alone they are harmless and innocent." James says.

James pulls out his walker mask holding it out to Clem.

"If you want my help, I need you to try and walk with them." He says.

"Then tell me if you believe they are just monsters."

"But they are monsters, not people or friends." Aj says to James
