"Kids! Come here! Quick!" My mothers voice yelled throughout the house. Waking me from my sleep.

I quickly hopped out of bed. My very large, baggy sweatpants slightly falling down as I did so-but I pulled them up and rushed out of my room.

My bare feet slapped against the hardwood stairs, Dylan following right behind me.

Me and Dylan both hopped off of the last few steps and I immediately led us into the kitchen.

Once my mothers eyes landed on Dylan, she pulled him into a hug,

"Are you okay? Did anything happen upstairs?"

"Wh-no, mom. Why?" Dylan asks, I can hear the worry laced in his voice.

My dad pulled me closer to him and wrapped his arms around me,

"Did anything happen?"

I shook my head,

"No, why?"

My body leaned against his chest, since his arms were wrapped around me tightly. I could feel his heart beating quickly against me.

What on earth is going on?

I pulled away from my dad, as Dylan did the same to our mother,

"What's going on?"

Our parents glanced at each other, before my dad hesitantly answered,

"Some-uh-bad people from when your mom and I were teenagers are... back in our lives. I had heard glass break down here, and I came down. We just wanted to make sure you're okay."

'Who, the Pythons?'

Yeah, I wanted to say that. But I wouldn't dare give up everything me and my squad have found.

Oh man... I just called them my squad...

Maybe they really are my squad, I might just have a group of people to rely on, a group of best friends like I've always wanted.

"Where'd the glass break?" Dylan questioned.

"Over near the front door." My mother answered, pointing.

We all glanced in that direction, but I noticed something. Something was weighing down the hood of my winter jacket on the hook.

The window that's broken was higher up, so if something was thrown from the outside, it could've landed in my jacket accidentally.

My parents didn't seem to notice.

"Dylan, you're not going to school tomorrow." My mother stated, putting her hand on his shoulder.

"What about Blair?" He questioned, glancing at me.

"No, Blair you're still going. You can't afford to miss a day of high school." She stated.

My dads head even shot in the direction of my mother, just as mine did.

"Darlin', something like this can really shake someone up..." my dad trailed off.

"No, she's still going." My mother said sternly.

I wasn't about to get pissed at her, and just went along with it-clenching my jaw so I didn't flip my shit.

"Where on earth are you going, young lady? It's not time for school and you kids need to stay in the house as much as possible." My dads stern, deep voice stated from behind me as I grabbed my jacket and threw it on-not bothering the weight still in my hood. Then, slipping on my black UGGs.
