Another case, another hectic schedule for the iconic duo. It has been reported that a murder was made in a 5-star luxury hotel involving a human killing an android staff.

They're assigned to android homicide, so no choice.

The hotel has 30 floors. We still don't know the explanation on why does a building like that need 30 stories, but of course its a luxury hotel.

Connor and Hank signaled the elevator to go to the current ground they were located.

"This place is so f*cking big." The lieutenant commented.

"Its one of the luxurious hotels in Detroit." The RK800 informed.

"But with sh*tty security." Hank chuckled. As the android did the same. Both entered as the lieutenant pressed the 28th floor.

"What about, after this case." Hank thought of an idea. "We go out and drink at Jimmy's?"

"Sure, just don't drink too much." Connor agreed. "And thirium drinks came out last week, so I want to try them."

"Can't wait to see you get drunk." The old man grinned.

"I don't get drunk, Hank." The RK800 replied.

"You never know, tin can."

Silence filled the small four cornered machinery. But when the reached the 13th, something happened.

Everything went dark. The human started to panic. Connor seemed calmed about the situation but of course, he hides it very well.

"Holy sh*t! Connor what happened?!" He exclaimed.

"A power interruption had been occurred." Connor replied. Hank took his phone and turned on its flashlight and pointed at the RK800.

"We're gonna die in this vertical coffin, aren't we? Because I'm ready." The lieutenant sat down in the floor and sighed loudly.

"We're not gonna die." Connor corrected the gray haired man. "And Hank, we talked about this.."

"Its hard, okay?" He tried to call in his phone but there was no signal. "This f*cking hotel."

The android sat beside him and curled to his knees. Hank sighed loudly as he set his mobile phone in his side as the light from it lits the ceiling, giving the small place a dim light.

"What do we do now?.." The lieutenant spoken up. "Do you think they'll find us?"

"Conan will notice we're nowhere to be seen, that's for sure." The android replied. "We just have to wait.."

Minutes turned to hours. Every second the elevator's temperature got hotter. The android can feel the heat so he took off his jacket, while Hank did the same.

"Connor?" He looked at his android partner.

"Yes, Hank?" The android replied as he started to play around his coin out of boredom.

"What does it feel to be free for the very first time?" He suddenly questioned. Because with the revolution that Markus pulled out, every android in the planet started to gain freedom. Including the RK800 himself.

"I don't really know how to explain it." Connor stopped playing his coin and answered. "It feels odd that no one gives you orders. As I was program to obey."

"It must've been hard, doesn't it?" Hank chuckled softly. Connor just slowly nodded. "You're free, so get used to it."

Silence filled in once more. They were stuck there for almost three hours.

"Are you sure they know where we are?" Hank started to worry.

"I'm 100% sure." Connor replied with no doubt.

"That neck brace should really speed up, it's getting hot in here." Hank sighed and leaned on the elevator walls. His android nodded in return.

Suddenly they noticed the two door started to slightly open. It freaked the old man out. Thinking it was maybe a ghost or something else.

"What the f*ck is that?" The lieutenant drew out his gun pointing it to the direction of the opening door.

"Wait, don't shoot." Connor informed as he scans. "Conan!"

The doors were ripped open as the RK900 scanned and looked at the two.

"Sorry, I was late." Conan apologised.

"You're so f*cking slow!" The old man stood up and ran outside. Breathing the fresh air.

Connor got out after and smiled at his upgraded clone.

"Are you alright?" The taller android asked the smaller one.

"Yes, thank you for rescuing me and the lieutenant." The RK800 answered.

"We're getting out of this place, Connor!" Hank exclaimed.

"As you please." Connor chuckled. Following the human to the stairs.
