Y/n's pov.

" Dinner was wonderful, haven't had a full dinner for a while " Laurence said as he pass me a plate.

" Well, I'm glad you like my cooking " Faye said.

I raise a brow as I place the plate in the cabinet.

" We wouldn't even have a full meal if we hadn't come here, I gotta say, your cooking is better " Laurence said.

" And you wouldn't have come here if it's weren't for Y/n " Faye points at me with a fork winking at Laurence as she place the fork in the drawer.

It's making me uncomfortable.

Laurence pass me a glass cup and I take it aggressively, he looks at me with a curious expression.

What is she trying to do?

I put it back in the cabinet.

" I imagined you'd be shorter though " Laurence said.

" I'm the little sister doesn't mean I have to be shorter " Faye said.

" Well, Laila was adorable " he said.

" Has her mother's face " she said.

I just stood there without them realizing.

" You and Y/n are the same " he said.

" Your saying I'm beautiful? " She asked.

" You both are " he said.

I slam the cabinet door getting their attention. I smile turning to Laurence.

" At the back, now " I gritted my teeth.

I walk out of the kitchen and open the door to the back of the house, I hold the door open and Laurence walks out then I shut the door.

" Are you okay? " He looks at me.

" Oh I'm just peachy " I said.

" What did I do? " He asked with his arms out gesturing for answers.

" You and Faye, you guys giving those looks at each other during dinner, and now compliments, what are you doing? " I asked.

" We were just having a conversation " he said.

" Oh really?, By complimenting and comparing us? " I asked.

" Comparing?, I wasn't comparing the both of you " he said.

" Yes you were, by saying she's better than me " I said.

" It's just a compliment! "

" Well it doesn't seem like it to me! " I said.

" You think I like her? " He asked.

" Don't you understand why she said that to you?!, To make you fall for her and not me! " I said.

" Is this jealousy? " He asked.

" Who cares?! " I said.

" Look, it's nothing, we were just trying to have a normal conversation and you here are stating out things that is not necessary "
