Y/n's pov.   

" Gene, where are we? " I asked as I look around and we're in a foggy place, as we ride our horses.

" Mountain biome, The Desolate Mountain is a few miles front and it takes us two more days to reach the top " Gene said.

" What's the difference between the mountains here and that one? " I asked.

" It's named desolate for a reason " Mariko said.

" Well I hate the name " Eddie said.

We all just ride the horses through the feet of the mountains, it's a bit chilly as well but I bet the top of the mountain is more colder.

" Rest here " Laurence said and we enter a cave.

I got off the horse and sigh in relief, I approach a dead tree and tie the rein, Raven nickers and I pet him.

" Be a good boy " I said and he nickers again.

" I know, I hate this too "

" You talk to the horse? " Mariko asked.

" Kept me sane for the past few years " I said and walk away from Raven.

" I don't think it did " Lucinda said.

" That's what I keep telling her " Laurence said, I snicker.

Gene and Eddie starts a camp and I approach the camp and I hear squeaking.

" You hear that? " I asked.

" Yes " Gene said.

I did a spell and fire devours my hand but it doesn't burn nor is it burning my hand, I rise my hand up high, the ceiling started to move.

" Is it me or is the ceiling moving? " Laurence asked.

" Nope " Mariko said.

" Lucinda " I said.

" On it " She takes her staff of her back and did a spell in a foreign language.

A light shoots up the ceiling and it was bats, all of them started to squeak and fly, they fly everywhere and the fire in my hand was blown out and I use my arms and covering myself, the others did the same as the bats fly around.

It's when I see a line of blast hit across the room and all the bats fly out of the cave, I lift up my head and it's all cleared, I turn around and see Mariko with both her katana out.

" I thought you said you have something against magic " Lucinda said.

" Ever heard of a gift? " She sheathe her katana on her back.

" There's a lot of things for us to learn about you " I smile, she snickers.

" I'm skeptical to find out " Gene cross his arms.

" There's a lot of things you don't know about me and not all of you need to know " she sit back down on the floor.

I turn to Laurence and he shrugs.

I then feel shivers running down my spine, I move my shoulder uncomfortably and turn around to the entrance of the cave, looking around the fog, I saw a figure in the distance.

I squint my eyes and it disappeared.

" Y/n "

" Yes? " I turn around to Laurence who called me.

" Are you going to just sit there or eat lunch? " He gesture to the beef that is cooking by the campfire, turning into steak.

" Uhh " I look back outisde and it's gone.
