We learnt to be open all over again.
We got the jobs we always wanted.
We had a baby girl.
We found out she was sick.
We helped her learn to overcome it.
We both got the jobs we wanted.
We watched our kids fall in love.
We watched them experience heart break.
We watched them graduate.
We broke down as they left home.
We watched both of them get married.
We came to terms with the fact that we were grandparents.
We spent every waking moment in love and at peace with our lives.
We danced for as long as our aging bodies would let us.
We held hands as we sat together in a nursing home, not wanting to be separated.
We were in love for a long seventy years.
And we lived and died together.
