New mission

Hikari rubbed the sleep from her eyes before she walked into the hokage's office
"Morning hikari"

"Good morning"

"This is your first mission back but I'm sorry it's not a very easy one. You will have a few people accompanying you."

He didn't even need to finish his sentence, she knew who they would be

"Kakashi, rin, and Obito will be helping you on this mission. Kakashi will be the captain. We've gotten a tip about Orochimaru. He's plotting against the leaf village. We need you 4 to gather intel and report back to us. He's in his northern hideout so you will be fine. But if anything happens I'm sure you will all be fine."

The sound of his name sent a shiver down her spine. It was weird, why send her after everything. Didn't she leave for three years to avoid this kind of thing.

They left later that morning. Rin and kakashi held hands happily talking away. Hikari waked in silence. Obito chimed in on their conversation.

Hikari was lost in thought. She was still embarrassed from Kakashi, so she definitely wasn't going to talk to him. But for some reason she felt guilty and had the urge to talk to rin. She was in a weird mood today though, maybe it was the nerves.

"Hey Hikari are you alright."

She looked up to see them all looking at her.
"Yea, why?"

"Just asking. You seem like something wrong. Are you nervous about Orochimaru" Obito asked

For some reason him pointing that out annoyed and embarrassed her "no."

"Well you kno-"

"Obito. Please just leave it."

"I'm sorry." He looked like he felt bad

"No you didn't do anything bad. I'm just in a mood I'm sorry"

He smiled at her, saying that it was alright. They all looked away except for kakashi. He half smiled and hikari looked away. She really didn't enjoy him being here. It hurt.

It would take two days to get there. So there's no telling how long they would be there for. After awhile hikari began skipping and whistling. Obito copied her.

"You guys are dorks" kakashi said flatly

"yOu GuYs ArE dOrKs" hikari mimicked him putting her hands on her hips which made a memory flash in her head out of nowhere. Something she long forgot. It made her stop in her tracks and stare off. Rin and kakashi bumped into her.

"Hikari?" Rin asked quietly

Hikari was running around her house playing by herself. She was pretending to me a ninja. Her dad was on the ground reading scrolls and her mom was in the bedroom. She ran and jumped over her dad, which annoyed him. "Could you calm down. You're a little girl not a squirrel ."

She walked away with her hands on her hips "yOuR a LiTtLe GiRl NoT a SqUiRrEl"

"You bitch" her dad shot up.

Hikari tried to run into her moms bedroom but he caught her by then arm slamming her to the ground. "This is what happens to little girl who talk back"

He wrapped his hand in his belt then lifted his arm.

After wards it was hard for her to move. She had a huge ugly bruise

Obito was snapping in her face and she blinked a few times pushing his hand away.

"What the hell are you doing."
