after love and heart break hikari struggles with fighting her demons. After three long years she returns to the village. Only to run head on back into the storm.

Hikari walked along the main road. She was going to get new ninja clothes, and a headband because hers was sewn into her dress.
She couldn't make her mind up about anything. She tried on a blue shirt that showed her fish net under shirt and dark grey shorts with a long belt. She tilted her head and said "eh what the hell"

I drew that really quick then slapped a ugly face on it to get it over with •3•
She had them put her clan symbol and she wore it afterwards. When she got the headband she let it hide some of her bangs. She never ever wore it on her forehead until now, it wasn't all that bad honestly.
She missed kakashi horribly. She walked without knowing where she wanted to go and she ended up at minato and Kushinas house.
Not long after lightly knocking Kushina opened it grabbing her and hugging her.
"Oh Hikari, we love you and we are so sorry. Minato has been beating himself up over it. He tried to find a way for kakashi to stay but they really needed him." She let go and moved out of the door way. "Please come in"
Naruto was playing on the floor. when he saw her he came sprinting, hugging her legs.
"He-car-e! He-car-e! Play with me"
She smiled and nodded. They played with blocks and ran around and did whatever he wanted to do.
"Kari! Kari! Will you marry me?"
Kushina laughed so hard her stomach hurt. "Sorry naruto you'll have to compete with kakashi." She said in a soft playful tone.
Hikaris face got red at the thought.
"Rival!" He started punching the air really fast "I'll win!" His baby talk made everything he said cute.
Hikari hugged him close. It felt like she knew him forever.
"I love how he calls you kari! It's soooooo cute" Kushina squealed. She got down on the floor with them and laid on her back. Naruto laid down next to her and hikari joined them.
"How have you been dealing with things?" Kushina asked quietly.
"Horribly." She held up her raw hands "I can't stop washing them. I just feel...... well ya know."
Kushina nodded, brushing Naruto's hair back "I get it. Well I don't, but I do. We are all here for you. If you don't mind me asking, what do you remember."
Naruto has his eyes closed so she felt a little more comfortable with talking about it. "Not being able to move. I remember what it felt like. Him touching me. I remember waking up and falling asleep again. There's just this one thing that bothers me the most, the one thing I can't get out of my head... feeling as if I died. Like the feeling of killing something innocent."
Kushina looked at her and held her hand. "I'm so sorry Hikari. If I would of known.... if minato would of known.... I want you to know Something really important, alright. Can you look at me."
She reluctantly held eye contact with her.
"It's not your fault."
She quietly said "I know"
"It's not your fault."
She bit her lip.
"It's not your fault Hikari." She squeezes her hand and Hikari let out silent sobs. " you will get through this. You didn't deserve this. We al love you and I know right now it's a hard time for you. But you don't have to shoulder it alone. Let it out."
Hikari covered her eyes with her other hand.
"It's not your fault."
"Yes it is"
"It's not your fault"
"I should of done something. I should of-"
"It's not your fault. No one has the right to your body, it is not your fault and never will be. Someone took something from you. They get that small piece of your life but they do not get to have any more. You will get stronger. It won't go away completely but there will be a day when you can breathe again."
They held hands and stayed like that for awhile. She closed her eyes and woke up to minato shaking her. Kushina and naruto fell asleep as well.
She sat up and rubbed her eyes.
He sat down in front of her, locking eyes with her.
"I did not do my job as hokage to protect my family. I look at you as my own daughter and it kills me to know what happened. Kushina, naruto, and I love you so much. I would do anything to take it all back."
Hikari wrapped her arms around his neck and whispered "I love you guys more. Don't blame yourself."
The days passed very slowly. A week had now passed, she didn't know exactly when kakashi would come home but the excitement was unbearable.
She did whatever she could to pass the time. She visited with naruto and Sasuke a lot. She got new pictures. One with Sasuke, naruto and her. One with Kushina and Sasukes mom. One of them all. One of kushina, naruto, and her the day they fell asleep. She decided she wanted to rearrange her room. her bed was touching the wall, right by the window. She had pictures on her wall. A desk and chair not too far from her bed, A dresser, Paper lanterns strung about her ceiling, And a shelf filled with ninja books and stuff she thought was important.
Since she got new pictures she put them up on her wall. She put up all the ones she had of her and Naruto's family along with the ones of Sasuke. She put up her old team 5 picture. Pictures of her as a really little kid with akane and Minori the day they started the academy. One of her and Obito with naruto. One of her and Seiko. Then her favorite was one of her and kakashi as kids training. She got a new comforter because her last one was more than just old. It was still white but fluffier, So was her pillows. She put scrolls up on her walls of Japanese symbols, next a fan she got at a festival, and lastly paper blue shurikens that everyone made in the academy.
By the end of the day her room made her mind feel more at peace.
