Ophelia sat in the Hufflepuff common room with James. They both have become incredibly close during the week. Ophelia and James were about to leave for Care Of Magical Creature, Ophelia really loved that class, due to her love of animals.

"I wonder what Hagrid has for us today," Ophelia said, watching her step as she walked down the hill, James at her side. "I hope it's something fun!" James chirped, "What if it's Bowtruckles? They're awesome!"

Ophelia giggled at his enthusiasm, "I hope so! But what if it's something amazing, like a Hippogriff!" Ophelia replied, smiling brightly.

As the pair reached their destination, they both tickled the spine of their books and stood there patiently, waiting for Hagrid.

"Ophelia! Since when was you taking this class?" Draco grinned, walking over to where Ophelia and James stood, "Since I chose it as an option." Ophelia beamed. Draco and Ophelia where in deep conversation until they heard Hagrid clearing his voice.

"Duh dun a duh! Everyone meet Buckbeak! Whose going to pet him?"

Everyone took a step back, leaving Harry standing at the front, "ahh, Harry come forward, remember to bow so you earn its respect." Hagrid said instructing Harry to do so. Harry took a few steps forward until he was in front of Buckbeak, he then began bowing down to the creature. Buckbeak took a step forward causing people to gasp. "Harry back up!" Hagrid yelled, harry took a few steps back, Buckbeak then bowed down to Harry.

"Ahh, now you can ride him!" Hagrid exclaimed, picking up Harry over his shoulder and putting him on the Hippogriff and trapping it. The magical creature then soared into the air.

"Woah, that is amazing!" Ophelia gushed, grinning brightly. "Oh don't be stupid, I hope Potter falls off." Draco snapped. Ophelia rolled her eyes at her dramatic cousin before walking over to Hermione and Ron.

"Hi guys!" She chirped, Ron and Hermione both greeted the girl, Ron gave her a lopsided grin. Ophelia grinned back at him, she then poked her tongue out teasingly at the ginger.

Ron gasped dramatically, "Hermione did you see that? She's being rude!"

"Am not!" Ophelia laughed.

"Are too!"

"Quit it you too, Malfoy is about to get whooped by a bird." Hermione said, shushing the pair.

"Yes, your not dangerous at all are you." Draco said, pushing his way through the group of students towards the bird, "Great ugly brute."

All of a sudden Buckbeak began attacking Draco, it repeatedly grazed his his arm. Hagrid stepped in front of the large creature and began calming it down, throwing a bit of fish away from the scene.

"It's killed, it's killed me." Draco cried out. Ophelia sniggered at this.

"Calm down it's just a scratch." Hagrid responded, this made Ophelia crack up.

"Hagrid!" Hermione began, "He has to be taken to the hospital!"

"I'm the teacher I'll do it." Hagrid replied, picking up Draco, Draco then sprawled out dramatically in his arms, "You're gonna regret this, you and that bloody chicken."

It was now dinner time, Ophelia was still hysterical over the past event. "And did you see his face, James it was brilliant!" She laughed, "I can't wait to tell Cissy and Lucy about it!"

James rolled his eyes, "it happened 4 hours ago and you're still hysterical over it, he could've been terribly hurt you know."

Ophelia laughed, "It scratched him! He's just being dramatic, come on it is Draco Malfoy we're talking about."

The pair sat down in the usual sets at the Hufflepuff table, this time Ophelia was sat next to some tall boy. "And who are you?" Ophelia asked, the boy smiled at her. "Cedric Diggory, you're Ophelia White, right?"

Ophelia raised an eyebrow at the boy, she then grinned widely at the boy. "That's me!"

For the rest of dinner; James, Ophelia and Cedric talked about quidditch, not that it really sparked Ophelia's interest. But as long as she was making new friends she didn't care what they talked about.
