Luke couldn't and couldn't stop laughing.

He had to admit it, Blake's boyfriend Jason was a total catch and absolutely hilarious.

In a year so much has changed. Last year on his birthday he and his brothers took a road trip to see his grandparents and his old friends and it was lovely. Then when he came back home to this stupid small town, he celebrated turning seventeen with his brothers and parents and he had to admit it was lonely.

Now, besides Blake and Jason, he had his friends Ashton and Calum there too. Also, this time, his grandparents and cousins came to celebrate his eighteenth birthday with him.

They were having a small party in Hemmings' backyard.

The only person missing was the boy that made this town less stupid and Luke knew without it, he'd never meet his boyfriend.

Michael was late but Luke knew he'd come, he also knew that once he'd be reunited with him after a month, he'll be a bit distracted.

"Five people already added me on Facebook to ask me if they can be the part of the Journalism club," Blake told them.

"I was right." Luke laughed. "No one wanted to be a part of the newspaper because of me."

"I wanted to be a part of it because of you." His favorite boy said and it took Luke less than a second to be on his legs and running towards him. Everybody laughed at him but he didn't care.

Before he could even reach Michael, Luke could notice the difference. Michael looked good. He always did but he looked happy and had some color in his cheeks and overall healthier.

Michael laughed when Luke tackled him into a hug with full force. Luke squeezed him close to him and inhaled the familiar scent of his boyfriend in.

"I miss you so much," Luke whispered.

"I did too. Happy birthday, my love."

The younger boy unburied his face from Michael's shoulder and looked at Blake. "Don't look." He said before kissing his favorite person.

Everybody laughed and Luke was nothing but happy.

"C'mon. There's someone I want you to meet." Michael whispered and suddenly Luke got nervous. He looked over Michael's shoulder and recognized the lady from the pictures. She also was a complete copy of both of her sons.

"Mum, this is..."

Before Michael could finish the woman hugged him. She was much shorter than her son but her hugs felt almost identical to his.

"Happy birthday, Luke." She said while she still didn't let go of him. It made Luke laugh and when he looked at Michael he looked just as happy if not more. "Your birth is definitely something worth celebrating."

"Thank you, Karen." Luke hugged her back and it was only when Liz wanted to meet her as well, the two let go of each other.

Immediately, Michael was next to him again and kissed his cheek. "You're definitely worth being celebrated."

The birthday boy laughed and pulled his boyfriend to the table where all of their friends couldn't wait to hear what Michael did in the past three weeks away.
