•••3rd Person POV•••
[Viggo's Home Base]"Viggo! It's been a year! When are we going to start our attack?!" Ryker asked.
"Patience brother. We wait a bit longer. The time to attack is yet to come." Viggo replied. He was standing in front of two Singtails they had captured just the day before. He smirked, his plan already forming.
"Everything is falling into place." He added.
•••Hiccup POV•••
As of now it's been a year. Everyone is starting to clean up camp. I sat by and watched as the twins and Snotlout fought over which weapons to take and which ones not to take.
"Macy has to come! She's my best friend!" Tuffnut cried. Belch snarled offended.
"Don't worry Belch, your a close second. Barf is a close sixth." Tuffnut said. Ruffnut hit him and Barf went along with it. I rolled my eyes and laughed. I had taken up the habit to climb into trees when I wanted to be alone. Astrid climbed up behind me.
"Gobber will be coming to pick us up soon. What do we do to explain the dragons?" She asked sitting on the branch above and to the left of mine.
"I believe that is up to you Milady. He doesn't know me." I said. Astrid sighed.
"Gobber isn't against dragons. But two of his limbs were eaten by dragons when he was younger. He isn't as thick headed as our chief at least. Looks like it's up to luck then." She said.
"Then let's see how well your luck is." I pointed out to the ocean through a clearing. There was a boat heading this way. Astrid climbed down the tree to head to the beach. She told everyone to hurry up with the cleaning before she left. Toothless poked his head through the top leaves of the trees. I scratched his neck and his head.
"I guess it's almost time to go bud." I said disappointed. I had grown quite close to the Berkian Teens. Toothless purred sadly.
•••Astrid POV•••
I waited on the beach for Gobber's boat to dock. When it finally did he jumped down and wrapped me in a side hug.
"Good to see your alive Las. You the only one?" Gobber asked. I shook my head.
"Everyone is alive Gobber." I said. Gobber nodded.
"Good job. So, let's get this boat loaded so we can sail back to Berk." Gobber said. He wobbled up the beach.
"Actually, Gobber, there is something I need to tell you." Gobber stopped and turned.
"What is it Lassy? You can tell me." Gobber asked.
"Well you see. A week after you dropped us off someone washed up on the beach. And he wasn't alone. He was with a dragon." Gobber didn't say anything he just nodded.
"He was followed and the island was attacked by dragon hunters. We couldn't fight all the ships alone. So he trained us to ride dragons." Still nothing, he still just sat there.
"So there are dragons at camp. And a stranger, who rides a Nightfury." I finished explaining. Gobber wasn't shocked at anything. Even the Nightfury part.
"You aren't surprised?" I asked.
"I am. I just know that if you trust this stranger, then I should too." Gobber replied. I sighed. Thank the Gods.
"Then you should meet him. He should still be at camp." I said happily. Gobber nodded and followed me to camp. I looked up to the tree he was in before but he wasn't there. I frowned and looked around more. Behind me Gobber screamed in surprise. I turned around. Hiccup was hanging from the tree above with his helmet on. Gobber was on the ground below him.
"Nice to meet you. I've heard so much about you Mr. Gobber." Hiccup said. I chuckled.
"Gobber this is who I was talking about. I don't think he meant to scare you. Gobber, this is Hiccup, The Dragon Conquerer." Gobber seemed surprised at the name but quickly shook it off. Gobber stood and dusted himself off.
"Ye scared me Lad." He said. Hiccup jumped down from his branch and landed next to me.
"So ye have trained a dragon huh? And a Nightfury too." Gobber said. Hiccup nodded. Toothless jumped down beside Hiccup and gave his signature gummy smile. Gobber stepped back.
"What a beaut. Although I've never seen one before." Gobber put out his hand to pet Toothless, he didn't attack him or anything.
"That's a first." Hiccup mumbled as he removed his helmet.
"Toothless must not want strangers near you. Your too important to him." I replied. Hiccup still looked confused.
"But he is a stranger. We've never met him before." Hiccup said. That got me confused as well. Hiccup had never seen or met Gobber. Why did Toothless trust him?
"Well. Let's get everything loaded on the boat then we can leave." Gobber said.
"Let's hope the chief doesn't kill ya." He said to Hiccup.
"Pardon?" Hiccup asked.
"One of us is supposed to explain to Stoick why there's a whole pack o' dragons. And that won't be me." Gobber explained.
"I-I can't. I have to get to Dragon's Edge. My allies must be worried sick." Hiccup said. I was sad at this. Hiccup had to leave. I wanted to show him Berk.
"Allies, or friends." Gobber replied. Hiccup didn't have anything else to say. Gobber pat his back.
"It's up to ye Lad. If you want to go with us, or go back and be lonely on your island." Gobber wobbled the rest of the way to the camp site to help carry supplies. It was silent between us for a few seconds before Hiccup finally spoke.
"Hey Astrid?" Hiccup asked.
"Yes?" I replied.
"Are there any Terrible Terrors in the island. I need to send a message." Hiccup explained. I nodded.
"I saw a few when I was hunting. What will you do?" I asked, generally hoping he would come with us.
"I'm going to send a message."
'I won't be going back to Dragon's Edge. I have nothing and no one there. If you need me, I will be on the Isle of Berk.'
