We left the hatchery and met with our dragons. Toothless bounded over and tackled me to the ground.

"Toothless! Get of of me you lug!" I cried. Toothless proceeded to like me despite my objection.

"But I missed you!" He said.

"But you know that your spit doesn't wash out." I growled back. Toothless got off me and apologized. I wiped off the spit and looked at the others who were equally confused yet laughing at me.

"I have no idea what you just said but that was hilarious." Astrid said.

"Yeah, whatever." I said, slightly annoyed but not able to hold back a smile. We followed my mom back to the cove of dragons and we talked for awhile. Toothless and I walked a little ways away to explore while the others were talking. We met some interesting dragons and even talked to them a little. I heard mom leave the cove through one of the entrances and was about to ask her where she was going when a large hand grabbed me by the shoulders and pulled me away.

"Hey! Let me go!" I pulled away and stepped behind Toothless ready to attack whoever grabbed me. I was not expecting it to be my dad.

"What are you...why are you here?!" I asked. Him and Gobber let me go to explain themselves.

"We're here to save you, where are the others? We have to get out of here." Dad explained. He grabbed my arm and started dragging me out of the cove.

"Wait dad! You have to let me explain first!" I said. He was pulling me along while Gobber led the way. Gobber didn't exactly look like he knew where he was going.

"There are no time for explanations, whoever kidnapped you could come back, now where are the others?" Dad asked. I pointed back to the cove.

"They're still over there." I replied. Dad sent Gobber to get them and meet back with the dragons. Toothless followed close behind us. We went through many different corridors until we reached one dad could barely fit through. Every time I tried to talk he would shush me. When we finally came to the end of the corridor dad stopped. He stood paralyzed in his spot. I tried to look over him to see what he was looking at.

"Valka?"

•••Valka POV•••

I went to get the children some water. I had grabbed the bucket and walked out of the cove. Just before I left I looked out to see if I could find Hiccup. He was talking with some of the dragons. How lucky of a mother I am to have a son who loves dragons just as much as I do. However, it saddened me to think that he spent 20 years without either parent. He didn't even know who we were. He must have been so lonely.

"I should have been there." I said to no one in particular. I dropped the bucket on the ground and instead of getting water like I had planned, I stood in place, staring at my reflection through the ice. I stood there, alone. Stoick would be so mad, I was alive, yet I never returned. I should have been there for him. I looked back at my reflection, but instead of being alone, Stoick stood at my side. I smiled.

"Valka?" I quickly turned when I realized that seeing Stoick wasn't just my imagination. He was there. In the flesh. My heart told me to run to him, embrace him. But I couldn't move. I didn't deserve to. So I stood proudly and showed no emotion.

"I know what your going to say." I finally said.

"If I was alive, why didn't I come home. To you, to our son." Ever so slowly Stoick walked up to me.

"Especially now that I know that he was gone, that he was taken. I should have been there to protect him!" Stoick stood directly in front of me with the beginnings of tears in his eyes.

"Oh say something Stoick!" I said, raising my voice. I didn't know what to do so I just stood there. Then, he embraced me. He pulled me in as close as he could and cried. Stoick the Vast cried.

"I must be the luckiest man in the world." He said. I started to tear up and I hugged him back, dropping my staff and letting myself be with my husband again.

"Aren't you mad?" I asked.

"How could I be? I found my wife and my son. I have my family back." Stoick replied.

I knew everything would work out. Sort of. It's not like I was biting my fingernails because I was nervous, no, not at all. I also didn't jump in fright when Astrid found me, I don't do that...often.

"What is happening?" She asked.

"My dad just found my mom." I explained. Astrid smiled.

"That's great! You get to have your whole family back!" Astrid said. I nodded.

"I bet everyone is hungry, how about we go eat?" Mom said. Everyone cheered because we were starving and followed mom to her kitchen area. She pulled out a large basket of fish, gave a few to the dragons and then gave us a few to roast over the fire.

"I'm not the best cook so it might be safer for you all to cook for yourselves." Mom suggested. All of a sudden dad started whistling. It was a tune all of Berk knew, it was mom and dad's song.

I'll swim and sail on savage seas
With never a fear of drowning
And gladly ride the waves of life
If you would marry me
No scorching sun nor freezing cold
Will stop me on my journey
If you will promise me your heart
And love...
And love me for eternity
My dearest one, my darling dear
Your mighty words astound me
But I've no need for mighty deeds
When I feel your arms around me
But I would bring you rings of gold
I'd even sing you poetry (oh, would you?)
And I would keep you from all harm
If you would stay beside me
I have no use for rings of gold
I care not for your poetry
I only want your hand to hold
I only want you near me
To love and kiss to sweetly hold
For the dancing and the dreaming
Through all life's sorrows
And delights
I'll keep your laugh inside me
I'll swim and sail a savage seas
With never a fear of drowning
I'd gladly ride the waves so white
And you will marry me!

At some point Gobber got all all of us up and dancing. I was happy just watching my parents be together. But that happiness was short lived. As soon as they had stopped singing, the whole sanctuary shook. Something was hitting it. Mom ran out to see what it was. There was a whole armada of dragon hunters and dragons that they've captured. Mom's breathe hitched and she seemed panicked.

"What's happening?" I asked. Mom and Dad both seemed to know what it was.

"Drago Bludvist."
